S5 PnP Wolf3d v4 help needed
Hi all,
First the mods and equipment:
• Wolf 3d v4 Plugin
• 1991 RX7 TII
• fresh rebuild with streetport
• BNR Stage 1 turbo
• emissions removed
• stock AFM
• BAC valve still in and active (for A/C and power steering compensation)
• Stock dual plunger TPS
• Stock pressure sensor
• Stock Throttle Body
• (4) 720cc injectors
• Walbro fuel pump
• electric oil metering pump
• 3" downpipe (not cat)
• Greddy FMIC
• NEW wiring harness
After a winter rebuild and a summer reinstall I'm ready to break-in the car and tune it. Working with the supplied map on the ECU barely got he motor started and idling--not even sure if the base map is correct. To be honest, I'm a newb at standalones and thought for sh*ts and giggles I'd plug the stock ECU back in and see if it ran. BAM! Runs rich but it's idling perfectly.
I guess what I'm looking for is to see if anyone has a map that's close to what I need for the plug-in unit or can modify the map that was supplied to me. I have one of the original units--didn't get to install it because of the coolant seal failure--from Wolf and do not have a hand controller (laptop is connected).
Any help is appreciated,
B

Thanks Michael. I searched and found one map--similar to what Chris sent. Unfortunately, all I was sent was a box with the ECU in it--no install instructions, no additional hardware. What's confusing me is the sensor setup. The map is set to use the "internal" MAP sensor--which I'm assuming needs to have a vacuum line connected to it and a source on the UIM. I was hoping to use all of the stock sensors and not sure how to set it to do so. Also, I'm not seeing anything that triggers the electric OMP, which makes me nervous. I'm in the middle of putting the stock 550s back in the primaries for now and will keep searching and waiting to hear back from Wolf. Any input is welcome.

I dont belive you can contol the omp with the wolf, atleast i cannot with my cosmo re... premix time!
As for your map, id just start tuning from the map you have, it get's it started and it idles, and thats all you need it for
My car idles at 11.9-12.5 afr's otherewise it skips. pop's.. and dies at about 15* timming, what are you running, hell post your map so we can all see whats up
Also if your map is setup for 'internal map sensor' then you must run a vac line to the wolf, just grap the line that went to your stock map sensor and run it to the wolf instead. Right now your computer has no idea of engine vac, engines prob running pig *** rich

I had queried Wolf months ago regarding the OMP and they claimed that the plugin WILL trigger the electric OMP--I'm not so sure. Wondering if it's up to me to set one of the Aux inputs to trigger the OMP. Sheesh. I'm surprised the base map on the Wolf has the TPC signal flopped and assumes that the internal MAP sensor is being used. he assumption is that most people have experience with standalones--not me
Here's the Map sent by Chris:

Thanks again all,

Just checked out the load sensor config, they are set to internal MAP. Would "external MAF" be the stock AFM? I can just run that vacuum line off the stock pressure sensor to the Wolf's internal MAP sensor, but the point was to try to keep everything as stock as possible out of the box, i.e. stock BAC, AFM, Pressure Sensor, and e-OMP. My angle for the mag was to point out how "easy" the plugin unit would be for newbs to start with and expand upon as they modded their cars

Yeah, I'm the modest one in the mag. I really try to keep a low profile as I have the family and health issues to contend with BTW, Bill, PM your phone number as I lost it this year.
