need help with map?
I have a 1987 t2 with a freshly rebuilt motor and extended port. A T70 turbo, walboro 255,1680 secondary inj., stock primary,no air mass sensor, block off plates, aluminum flywheel,3"exhaust,aeromotive fp regulator. And ofcourse a plug n play s4 wolf3d v4. I was able to turn the car on a few times but it turns right back off. Only once it stayed on for about 10 min. on idle but as soon as I pressed the gas it turnd off. after I atempt to start it , i remove the plugs and the trailing plugs are full of gas . then I turn the engine (manualy)and fuel pours out the back rotor . The car has compression, the crank angle sensor is alinged correctly, the primary injectors are the factory ones and have not been in use since 98. They seemed fined when I installed them. The factory fpr was eliminated for the adjustable one. The pressure between 32-38 psi. All vaccum lines capped or in use. There is no one in my area that deals with rotary. I Have done every thing my self. I have done lots of work on cars but never with cpu or stanalones. can anyone advice? Does anyone have a good map of starting map that i can use? I tryed one from Chris Green but it was worse than the base plug n play map.

Hi rx7dky.
OK I hope that we can all help you. My motor is similar but I don't have a plug and play ECU. However from experience you most likely have a stuck open primary injector on rotor 2.
Next to run well you will need between 2.8 and 3.3 ms on only the primary injectors.( set your staging on secondry injectors above 30% for now) I suggest 3.3 ms @ 21% load and 3.1 @ 14% load set you base ignition table to 13 degrees everywhere.
If you post your map some of us may be able to give you a good startup map. Now most startup maps are RICH and retarded but they DO run and is driveable.
Cheers

michael :
thank you for your reply. I found that the previous had harness in a diferrent way and I was running the primary conector for rotor 2 to the secondary injector. ( I feel very dumb now). Anyways do you have a map that I could see so I can compare to mine? I am not to familiar with parameters terms(load, degrees etc.) I rather see a graph and numbers to get my self familiar with it?
thank you very much

I finally got the car to turn on every time with out any problems. Now the map that was sent to me by chris green of wolf usa works ok as long as the car is parked it accelerated but not smooth. In reverse while geting the car out of the drive way it works. As sooon as i try to move in 1st gear the car wont go it just hesitaes. There is no one on the area that reside on that works with rotary or any dynos, the closest one is 11 hr away. I am not trying to get any free maps I just need advice to get my car running .here is a copy of the map.

you might try waiting for the car to warm up, as the temp correction map is adding a lot of fuel. also, the fuel map is very basic(one value for an entire load band). it definitely needs a good tune. to get this started, id suggest just using the hand controller and moving the load bands up or down depending on if youre stalling from not enough or too much fuel. loadband 43 will be around 0psi, the hand controller will also show you what band youre in on the main display.
