My latest map (tuned to about 20psi)

so, here it is... runnin around on the street at 18psi.. 93 octane. only problem is my racing beat exhaust is too restrictive and cuts my boost from 18psi at 6krpm to 15psi at 7250 rpm... oh well. its fast as hell.. some dude in a z28 with a cam'd motor rev'd at me. he had no idea what he was in for =]

http://www.countercultured.net/10-21-04.wmf

this is setup for iac, thermofan, etc. gets good gas milage...

1680s up top, stock primaries. walbro pump, stock fpr, s5 block, gt40 turbo..
heres a link to all mods if anyone feels the need to see

the secondary injectors are also gradually staged in in this setup. makes transition into boost very smooth.. car drives amazing.

I have mine coming slowly as well, but I start a little sooner than you did, my world fuel map never gets above7.00. I figure this might save my primaries some work.

saving your primaries some work will often hurt gas milage. Mine come on at like 3psi.

If yo go 100 percent to y our secondaries in one load bar, theres a time in between load bars, say 10ms on one, and 2ms on the other, that its firing the secondaries at 3 ms and the primaries at 6ms, then once it hits the bar fires the secondaries at 2ms and the primaries at 2ms.

this is because it interpolates that halfway between 0-100 is 50% secondary usage, and the value of the bars combined / 2 (dead center between load bars). You end up with a very rich spot.

would this map work on my car? ill be running a t78 (i want around 18-20psi on 93 octane) with new rails, stock primaries, 1680 secondaries, aeromotive fpr, full braided lines with AN fittings, dual walbros, 3 MSD 6A's, 10mm Spark wires, and a mild port job. possibly 720cc primaries (you think i need them?)

oh and ill have a wolf v4+

thanks,
kevin.

no it wont work. with your aftermarket fuel system you'll be flowing a different amount of fuel then me. it is never wise to just take a map off the internet and throw it in your car. if you want to use it as a base to get your car going and then tune on a dyno from there (make sure you richen it first just incase) that would be the better way to do things.

currently im running 550 primaries and 1680 secondaries stock fpr, rail, lines, and a walbro pump.

yea i was looking for a starting point.

anywhere you can point me to help me learn the backbone of tuning so my knowledge can grow from there? my car isnt even here, or built, nor is the wolf in my hands, but it will all be together by april/may-ish and id like to at least have a basic knowledge of tuning befor ei turn the key and blow up everything.

kevin.

oooh... its kind of hard to start from nothing... id say get a tuner that knows what hes doing... you may be able to start and drive with my map, but theres a lot involved

Been looking over the progression of your maps. Your earlier ones had the secondary staging at a certain load and rpm. Your lastest map has just load based staging.

Any benefits to this?

I guess rpm based staging is really reduntant when you are using the 2nd's for boost only.

well, stock brings on the secondaries at 3800, i was kinda playing around w/ that to see if it had any merits, and it doesnt =]

the ignition maps in the maps have timing dropped a little bit so if anyone uses it there will be a bit of a safety margine just fyi. the one i posted in ultimaterx7's map is closer to what i run. ill make a new post with an exacty copy of my map soon as i get my laptop back (at my office)
