damn injectors

well the time has come.. since the street port likes a bunch more fuel than the stock port motor (damn overlap) I just ordered some 1000cc injectors for my primaries. hopefully this should give me the extra headroom i need. at around 15psi im around 85% duty cycle.. no good =[

*sigh* i hate retuning =]

85% duty cycle is basically the most you want to run...

but 15 psi is also at about 86 load which i assume is what you thought i meant...

yeah i want to be able to run 17.5psi on the street with this engine and not have maxed out injectors =]

nyt I have some free software to help you rough out a new map.

http://www.angelfire.com/wizard/freqgengui/
I wrote it and it works ok but give it a go.. its at the bottom Rotary pulse recalculator.

My program can sort any simple parameter including injector sizing and staging close enough to get a reasonable map. This make tuning just a little quicker as you already have the characteristics in your current fuel map. I used it to help convert your map to my engine and it worked well. Actually thats why I made it to save doing lenghty calculations that it is easy to make recalculations without large errors.

woot.. so rx7store (go figure) sends me some injectors that they tell me will fit primaries in my FC... i figure its same price, theyre reselling RC.

NOPE.. totally different injectors, not even close.. so i send em back and get 2 1000cc's from rc.

******* things fit perfect and flow so much more than stock. god im glad those are gone. put those bitches in as soon as i got home and started doin a bit of tuning.. car is easily drivable, but still way rich up top (even taking out the 20% fuel that i was supposed to gain, guess it was more =] fresh clean injectors...)

anyway... 1000cc primaries, car idles and runs beautifully in vacuum.. will post some maps later when i get it tuned better.
