[need help] Wolf v4 PC to ECU cable

hey guys - i need a cable for the v4 ecu to the PC or the pin-layout;

last resort is to pay AEM/Wolf $60usd for their homemade cable. I'm happy to buy a used cable here or build one if someone would be so kind to provide the pin-to-pin diagram.

did you make sure to connect the grounds on both sides? very important or you get signal noise.

wow just looked thru installation, user guide, and pc software, and there was nothing (could have sworn there was), maybe it was a dealer tech.

edit: not in dealer tech either. If you cant get it to work with the diagram you found let me know and I'll check the pinouts on my cable

I'm in the same position. With just an adapter, the Wolf shuts off when the PC is trying to connect. I guess I need to cut the DB15 and do that wiring.

Does anyone have a color coded version perhaps? It looks like that is showing the order from the back of the connector?

I made the adapter using a pinout in this post: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=429560

The Wolf software (4.72) says it can find the ECU and retrieves the map. However, it pops up a box saying my map is missing the yellow and redlines and will default them to 8000 rpm. Then the ign and fuel tables are all zeros. When the laptop is plugged in, the car will not start. Unplug it, and everything is great.

I'd really like to use this computer to datalog, but I can't at the moment...

Does anyone know if this is something I've obviously messed up making the cable? Any other ideas would be welcome too.

Josh

9 is the one that isnt going anywhere. if you look you'll see the other pins on the DB9 side are connected to each other.
