The only way you're going to see any $ near what this is worth is if you start going to the doctors about your wiplash, sprained knee, re-occuring headaches, insomnia ever since the loss of you car, etc. etc.
Unfortunately, they are going to total your 1st gen at market value of any old 1st gen. That won't be much and you're totally at the mercy of the insurance company to call the value.

damn, i haven't been on the forum for a while, then i come back and i see this! that sucks dude, sorry this happened to you man, but at least like everyone already said, you came out alright. on the bright side, your lucky7racing.net sticker didn't get hurt! they're able to withstand even the toughest vw crashes.

Ok, so my insurance says I now have to talk to the other party's insurance to cover the damages because they cannot talk to them for me. 
I don't get it, I thought they are suppose to handle everything.
So I try calling the number they gave me for the other Insurance and I get infinite rings and no one ever picks up.
