What a way to end my day today.

Well after a good day at the shop, I was driving home in my FB when a car made a left turn right in front of me. Then... BOOOM!

The car that hit me was a VW Jetta. He was trying to make a left turn and I was going southbound. The light was green for me so I had the right of way, I was also going the speed limit 30mph. He saw me and I saw him, but he just made a left turn anyway. Since it had just stopped raining the street was wet. I braked but could not stop in time.

I did not even know what to do or say, first thing I checked was my leg. (I broke my leg a year ago)Then I got out of the car and was angry to see this.

It really makes me sad that I worked so hard on this car the past couple of weeks to get it track ready.

All new suspension (shocks, struts, springs)
All new steering parts (pitman arm, idler arm, tie rods)
New tires
Swapped in a GSL rear end with disc brakes
driveshaft
Swapped in another 12A with a 7" Supercharger, holley fuel pump

F**K

I'm ok i think. My left wrist hurt a little after the impact. At least he hit my bumper/fender and not my door.

Did it damage the frame? Hopefully it is fixable. But it looks like the strut tower got pinched in.

WOW ! that's fucked up...Glad your okay thou. Beautiful car.

What are your plans for the car? I have the front bumper, lower valance, header pannel (i think)...but that won't fix the frame damage, you also need the two shocks that hold the bumper on...sry to remind you of all the damage..fakin sucks.

I'm also selling my GF's SE.

asking $1300

Let me know.

Thanks guys Im happy I didn't get hurt. The Jetta drive hurt his hand, I guess by his airbag when it deployed.

As of now I do not know what I'm going to do, or if I can even fix the car. Sucks that this happens to it, the car only has 82,000 original miles I won't have time till the weekend to really check out the damage to the car, I just had it towed home.

Ryan- Thanks for the offer, I will let you know about the car or parts.

How ya holdin up fris? There's a pick and pull down the street from me that has a couple FB's chilling in it. No one out here knows wtf a 7 is, so most of them that are in there aren't really picked apart. Even better that most of them are there just for blown motors.

If you're looking for anything in particular, I can run by after work today to check it out and send some pics to ya.

DAMN I know how you feel...As for the damage for sure there's frame. sry to say.

It's gnna be the frame fender where it bolts to the chasis, and the bumper shocks where the bumper attached. The corners are a bitch...I'd fix the suspension and and just hit the track street fighter stlye ! Dude I would'nt miss the track w/that new supercharger !

btw you got mail
