The West Coast Track Day Videos Thread
A couple videos from SevenStock.
These are my first swings at combining multiple camera angles into one video.
3 laps of morning session with front facing interior, rear, and side mounted cameras, the clear lap was one of the faster laps of the day
A full session in the afternoon with front facing interior, front facing bumper and passenger facing cameras. The passenger cam's battery died after a few minutes. Passed a ton of people in this one. The owner of the red GT4 Cayman came over to my garage after the section and was amazed.

Thank you and thanks for the link!
Nice driving, you were wheeling it out there! Is the car is pushing a little bit?
I should have went to that event on Friday instead of planning on The Streets event today that I bailed on because of rain.

Yea you need more front camber, close to 2 degrees, maybe more. I ran my FC with the NA rotary for a couple years and got it pretty dialed in. Let me know if you need any input.
Yep machine your camber plates ASAP, I had to do the same thing. There are a couple machine shops I have used locally. Machine Shop Orange County is one in Santa Ana.
I have before and after pictures if you need to illustrate what needs to be done, it cost me like $40 at a local machine shop, but made a world of difference.
What coilovers or suspension setup do you have? Do you have bigger swaybars yet? With the NA rotary I found I needed aftermarket front and rear sway bars with off the shelf coilovers. With more power you don't need a rear bar if you have a bigger front bar.
Definitely do DTSS deletes if you have not yet. Also get your rear camber dialed in properly. Ronin Speedworks makes camber dog bones that are shorter. You want around -1.2 to -1.5 degrees of rear camber.
Solid front control arm bushings make a huge difference in feel. Also get rear spherical control arm bearings from PBM to run with the shorter camber dog bones.
I started with some crappy Nexen tires on my car and completely dialed in the suspension. I picked up like 7-8 seconds from all of that, and then picked up another 3 seconds instantly when I went to NT05 tires.

Thanks, I found the pictures that you had posted. about the camber plates. I'll give those guys a call.
I'm currently on Megan coilovers, however I'm unsure of the spring rates because my roommate (suspension engineer for Megan and who originally worked at Tein) slapped together a replacement parts bin special set for me and he doesn't remember what springs he grabbed. lol. The car definitely feels soft on track, but its very comfortable on the street.
Still on stock swaybars and I have done the DTSS delete already. I also have the Battle Version camber and toe links as well. My car is a bit tall right now so I was able to get the rear camber to -1.2*

Rear camber is good. Get a full set of RB or ST swaybars and upgraded endlinks. I have my old RB rear setup with RB endlinks if you are interested. Not knowing the sprin rates is kind of a pain, but get the sway bars on there, and it will make a world of difference and you don't have to go crazy on the spring rates. 8k to 9k springs (350-400 lbs) are where you want to be with street tires and still have reasonable street manners.
I should have gone in the race group. But with my low hp I'm ether one of the slow cars in the fastest group. Or one of the fastest in the next group down.
I'm thinking of just dong a 13b turbo to get a little more umph so I can get myself into more trouble...lol
I was fun. NASA always puts on a well organized event. Since this was just HPDE. It was a little more relaxed but still on of my favorite.

Your car would be great with a bit more power though.
May be going to Buttonwillow this Sunday with speedventures. Hope to see some of you all there.
Edit: Red group and most run groups are all sold out for both Sat/Sun.

Here WSIR form last weekend.
Fun Race, 2 wide and 3 wide racing.
Had a good weekend. Sat TT P2 and P1 in the race. Sat night got my regional champ trophy. Then Sun P1 in TT and P1 in the race. Very tired after that, but very happy also.

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing, and great results.
Nice to see we have similar lines there. I have to apex 9 a little earlier to get the car to turn and not go off the outer edge of the track on exit. Everywhere else I take a very similar line.

There seems to be a new-er bump on the outside line on T9. It's faster, but sometimes it unsettles my car.
This is my first time on WSIR with my new shock/spring setup. almost 2 second faster. But I'm still playing with them, so who knows.
