Want to change my Insurance Co.

Well, it seems like everytime my policy expires. The price gets higher and higher. I am currently with Mercury ins. Anywho i have three vehicles that i am insuring now. I have been a member of Mercury for about 7-8 years. So with all vehicles being max premiums "full coverage" i am paying @$405.00 every other month.
Do you think thats too high?. Also what is everyone using as there Auto insurance ?. Give me some info or better yet if your an Insurance agent hook me up?. Let me know thanks in advance.

i just use a little mom and pop insurance agency, costs about $60/mo for 3 vehicles liability only with 1 speeding ticket. best advice is to call around because it varies so much.

On my FD, I pay about $630 every six months, full coverage. I use Nationwide, and since I've been covered for three years under them with a clean record, I get a good driver discount.

Mercury has the lowest rate but kinda strict on claims. I have been with mercury for 17 years and they give me discounts left and right...6 cars discount, repeat customer, good record etc etc. I wonder what my rate will be when they add the senior discount.

At lunch break today, i swinged by a mom and pop shop just like Karack have mentioned. I dont know about the mom and pop shop? I would believe an Insurance is the same modow
as "You get what you pay for"? Yes they were really dirt cheap. But would they give me fairness if anything happens to my Vehicles down the road. I'll keep searching and hopefully i find something cheap, for myself and everybody here. hmmm i wonder if they give us a big discount if half of the West section here sign a new insurance policy?

I have been with Mercury for over 6 years now. I just got a quote from the credit union i bank through for alot lower prices. If anybody is in the SoCal area and banks with OCTFCU I highly suggest getting a quote. Im switching over as soon as my current plan is up.

I used to have 21st Century for several years. Paid about $600 every six months. It included my '82 Jag then a '91 Benz and my Rx7, full coverage. Now I am with Geico and I pay about $500 every six months. This includes my '99 Trooper and Rx7, both fully covered.

'El Nene 7' they may pro-rate your policy if you cancel it early. You could wait until it is near the end of your policy and notify them about your cancellation. Just make sure you have another one ready to be active when the other one ends.

I am not too sure how you are listing your vehicles in regards to usage. After working for 21st Century I learned a few tricks.

Since you have multiple cars this is what I would suggest when you call for quotes.

1) List the cheapiest or lowest rated car as your main vehicle (i.e. civic, corrolla, non-sporty cars, etc)
2) List the FD as an extra vehicle, which you drive about 5k-7k miles per year.
3) Also, if you raise up your deductable to 1k, it will help lower your premium.

When I had my FD, I listed my 90' Integra as the daily driver and the FD as an extra leisure vehicle.

I hope this helps.

Stay with mom and pop where you can have a hot meal 3x a day, free room, utilities paid with free internet connection, and free car insurance

Then when taxes season comes, use a fake address so you can claim head of household.

I am with a credit union myself. I will go there tomorrow and see if they gave an Auto insurance coverage.

Thanks for the tip, i will keep that in mind. So basicly i would use my TII for my lowest rate car. List my Honda Accord than my Lexus SUV.

Im not sure what credit union you use. But my Mercury is $600 every six months and though the credit union its $468.00 every six months. Once i get my daily driver from work im going to try and get my FD covered from Hagarty.

You got the right ideal. I'm not too sure about your Lexus tho. Try doing an online qoute. Your Lexus maybe more expensive to insure. It could either be:

1)Honda Accord
2) TII
3) Lexus SUV

or

1) Honda Accord
2) Lexus Suv
3) TII

Also, are you the only driver? If you are not, make sure you put the driver with the better record driving the higher rated car...and so on. Well you got the picture.

Good luck!
