Wow, this took off pretty quick. Here's the deal since I haven't purchase my ticket yet. If need be, I can stay there for 3 days to make sure everyone gets tune (fly in thursday night and leave sunday night) but I'll need 8 commitment to make it a 3 day event.

Do you guys prefer that instead?

This list is getting way of of hand. I orginally wanted 5 cars with 2 alternate. All of the sudden, 5 more guys added themselves onto the list without notice. I am going to have to talk to steve and see if he could accommadate all of us. DO NOT add your name onto the list without consultanting with me first!!!

ughh, that **** gets all complicated now, because if steve is doing as he saids (flying in thurs. night), the first 4 signed up will have to go tune first which would be Friday. I'm one of the top four, don't know about you guys but I got work, not saying I wouldn't take it off but.....yea.

Gotboost, will get you that deposit sometime this week.

Friday would not work for me, too. And I am sure it would not work for most of us because of work. Maybe that monday since it is federal holdiay?? Anyhow, I am still sticking to the list and deadline. By that time, whoever in the top 6 have not pay the deposit will get bump off and the standby will move up. Like I stated earlier, I will talk to steve and see if he can accommadate us or at least 6-8 cars in a weekend... Stay tune

In the past, the way we do it is that those who were on the list first gets to pick a time and date they want for tuning so that others who joined later will get whatever is left.

Hey Steve.

Just wanted to say your tune on my CYM was VERY good. I pulled a new C6 Z06 by ~ 2 cars from 70 - 130 mph a few months back. They guy kept coming back for more - he couldn't understand how his 427 was getting pulled I guess.

Merry Christmas!

See yaaaaa,
-Matt

hey steve, not sure how busy you are at this point... but since the list is shooting towards over double the initial anticipated count and still growing, would you be willing to come to CA any sooner then Feb. and doing a separate session for those of us who will not make it on the first list? the reason i say this is because my car is "tuned" (if you can even call it that) so horribly that its at a point where i'm afraid of even driving it. basically, i wont be doing any driving until Feb., and thats looking on the bright side that half the list will flake out and i will somehow make it onto the list. if this is possible i'd be willing to pay extra, and im sure many other would too, to get their tune a few weeks earlier.

as for gotboost, not trying to be an ******* and sidetrack your post, but this way more people will be happy and im pretty sure this would be easier for you as you will not have to deal with your list reaching 20+ and getting out of hand. and if you saw how my car was tuned right now, you'd understand...

I got some clarification about the fee from steve yesterday. It looks like the $350 fee to steve will ONLY cover either the street tune or dyno, NOT both. I missed interrupted earlier. And if you decide on dyno, then you will need to pay for dyno time as well. So please decide which method you want steve to perform.

As for the deposit, I am still sticking with the deadline of Jan 5th. And we are still aiming for the Feb 17-18 for the tuning session but I still need those deposits to reserve that weekend. If we can get a total of 8 deposits or more, then I will bump the current list from five to eight with two on stand-by. Steve said he should be able to do 8 cars in a weekend.

1) Insomniac......deposit paid
2) gotboost920....deposit paid
3) Unnerv..... deposit paid
4) Roto7Fd
5) 209FD
6) puffxy - standby #1
7) Shane Dizzle - standby # 2
8) Snub disphenoid - standby #3
9) RURX- standby #4 .....deposit paid
10) sirshan - standby #5

Unfortunately, I won't be able to do it any sooner. I need at least 4 weeks in advance to book my flight. I already have a tenative date with the LA group on the last week of Jan. I don't see it being possible to do it anytime sooner.

This is just a reminder that the deposit is due next week, 5th of Jan. I need to receive it by then if you want to remain on the list. If you need a little more time, please let me know and we can work something out. I am still taking deposit from the standby guys. Like Steve said, he can tune between 8-10 cars in a weekend. So if I get more deposits in, then I will expand the slots...Questions, comments, concerns?

2) gotboost920....deposit paid
3) Unnerv..... deposit paid
4) Roto7Fd...deposit paid
5) 209FD
6) puffxy - standby #1
7) Shane Dizzle - standby # 2

The dyno facility is in San Jose. Here is a link to the place...

http://www.tech3performance.com/default.html

Here is the direction on MapQuest...

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=TECH%2...954%2C0.051177

I spoke to the owner a few times and he is aware that we having a tuning session that weekend. The rate right now is $90/hr but I am trying to work that down. The dyno clock starts when the car is strap on to the dyno. So if we are there ten hours but only use three hours of dyno time, then we are charge with three hours. There will be some basic tools available but it is recommended that you bring your own tools in case something happens...

I still need the basic informations (...like the ecu and what type of turbo) asap. I want to see how many people are doing the street tuning and how many will be doing the dyno tuning. That way I can put one group to do street first and the second group on the dyno. This arrangement will be more effective than switching back and forth between cars.

Questions, comments, or concerns?
