Did Seth used to own a shop in Downtown? On Market street about 8 years ago?

I was shopping for a second FD in 1998 (my first one burned burned two months after I got it) and I was still a newb to the FD thing. Anyway we were both looking at the same FD and we struck up a conversation. Great guy who was very knowlegable about FD's. He told me that if I found an FD that I liked he would gladly take a look at it for me and to vist him at the shop.

So I took him up on the offer he looked at my future FD for free. Great guy. Didn't go back to him for repairs because my 4 year service contract was with Mazda. But I still remember his name and his description and we only met twice 8 years ago, like I said great guy.

There were a number of non Mazda project cars too. An old Porsche, classic Camaro and a few others.

its was 7 FD's, 4 FC's, A yellow and black IT car from AZ Classic porsche shell, a mercedes rag top Old skool, RX3 gatorade car, 510 wagon, Seth's wife's FD.

A dyno

over 100k in tools

3 complete rotary pumkins

of the FD's from what I remember on the saturday day before the fire that I was there. 4 red. 1 montengo blue. Right hand drive Silver with veilside kit. Black R1 and a white pep.

There was no camaro. That guy took his car earlier in the week.

HKS FCS3 your car was the nicest looking FC in the werld. Its a HKS cataloge. It runs pig rich though.

Yes I have never posted here. But I have known Seth for over 2 years. I used to help out on the weekends and evenings. This was before I owned a 7. Chances are if your car ever went to the shop I worked on it. I feel bad for seth and the car owners. The shop was his life. He had a passion for FD's, so who ever said that he torched it is way wrong.

My folks back in 1989 went through a business fire. The legal ramifications that come from business fires is unsurmountable. Seth has everything to lose, wife, house money. The most the car owners lose is a car.

anyway.

Some of you probably met me at the shop, I was dubbed "hackjob" for my backyard turbo'd 88 323. I bought my first 7 back in February off Ebay. 83 FB Limited. I now own 3 first gens. Track ****, parts car, Daily. These cars have a way of consuming you. Now I am looking for FD's Which now just got harder.

I don't think anyone has talked to seth though. And for the other car owners that don't know yet...its because all of the numbers on in a pile of ash on the concrete floor.

I said my piece and will now return to my cave.

TAS,

I am glad you were not there when the fire happened.
When I talked to Seth, that was the first thing I asked. He was though very distressed... very rare to experience that from such a charater.
Seth Wifey is a trooper. I talked to her and she was being ultra supportive.
Hope all will pan out for the better.

HKS FC3S.

btw. pig rich on idle, but lean up top. i really wanted to use that bad *** dyno to fine tune.

The Dyno was a good investment. Your car was so rich that it made my eyes burn.

Forgot a car: black suzuki swift.

I hope so too. This is a major blow in the rx7 world.

damn, i just saw the damage today. its a shame. and some pigfuc**rs decided to go there and take parts taht were able to be stolen. and im assuming its some asswipes from this board. IF YOURE ON THIS BOARD AND YOU STOLE FROM THOSE CARS AT THE SHOP, YOURE A LOW DOWN PIECE OF SHI*.

thats just low and pitiful.

ive been watching this thread for a while now, some people i just cant believe.

to those who lost their vehicles, or part of them, i know youve heard or seen it many times, but my thoughts and prayers go out to you guys and seth.

by the way, as i was about to leave the shop, someone pulled up. his name was ken. nice guy, said he owned the shop for 10 yrs prior or something. idk.

man that place was... just... nothing.

my sympathy goes to all involved.

My condolences to all who lost their vehicles... regardless of how the shop was run, this was a terribly unfortunate event. I just hope for the people who lost their cars that it was truly an accident and not a bankruptcy avoidance maneuver.

The only guy I knew at SPD was Chris, but as someone said he hasn't been around for a while.

Was the RHD FD there the one with the huge V-mount intercooler on it?

whats sad is that nothing taken is probably usable. everything has some sort of oxidation on it, and im sure warped to some degree. only person it hurts is the person having to prove said parts were on the car. im sure insurance companies are used to this sort of thing though.

Seth sets up a shop to hide from the murderer, while Ryan starts up a website and changes his legal name to Boostd7. One of the murderers sees the fuelman avatar and sets Seth's place on fire, hoping to blame Boostd7. I didn't see the rest of the episode, so someone else has to finish the story for us.
Since you cast thy first stone, shouldn't that make you one of the murderers?

On a side note, I'm terribly sorry for Seth and everyong who lost their car... I couldn't imagine...
