Question Track day at Thunderhill?

Just wondering how many club members would be interested in having a track day at Thunderhill? I take a class out there so I know the staff pretty well. I asked Mr. Vodden, the ceo, and he said a december date would be the cheapest... rain or shain of course. Here's the website for more information...

www.thunderhill.com

Mr. Vodden said for a meet they must have staff there to observe and we can have driving instructors too. Typically a driving class costs about $200 a person but I think I can hook us up with a better deal especially if enough people are interested.

I'm IN! Did my first one there last February, and it was a blast. Definatly reccomend it. And, I may have a place for a few people to stay: I live 20 minutes from the track! Funk, see if Carl would be interested and the guys from Alan's group! GTU Fan, are you a CSUC student - haven't seen you around before - I'm in Corning - I've got the 93 silver w/blitz wheels and r1 lip - usually park by Tower Records.

Lil off topic but does anyone know Bob Maybell or if hes on these forums?

He races up there in Thunderhill with an FB, he rebuilt the engine on my FB also.

I'd like to go to this also but I'd probably ending up killing myself and I don't think my car is up to snuff for the track yet (suspension wise).

Last time I did this there was a 20somethingish girl who drove her RAV4 around the track - and on the corners, she was pretty damn quick! Your car just needs to be SAFE: brakes, seatbelt, not spewing fluids or parts. Don't be intimidated by other people. There are people at the track that drive $5,000 spec Miata's that most of the $50,000+ cars can't keep up with.

hey GTU_FAN, been a while.
this sounds interesting. my budding wanted to go to thunderhill. this is the perfect excuse to get him to go. he's an old school dsm guy but he's pretty cool.

rotoober, so the silver fd i've seen around is urs then. you know paul, he's the guys with the red fd. as far as i know anyway, you two are the only fds in the chico area.
