Track day at Thunderhill?
#26
NCDA.net is hosting a grip event with instructors on December 11th.
The target number is about 50 drivers so everyone will have plenty of track time, with experienced instructors.
Cost is projected to be $140. That is VERY INEXPENSIVE, for Thunderhill.
Details are to be announced within the week at www.ncda.net .
don@ncda.net for additional info and inquiries.
There are quite a few RX7 driving instructors within our organization. Hope some of you will join us. If we can cater this event to the rx7 community in anyway, we'd love to do so, please contact us with ideas.

Thats correct, no sliding at all on track. December 11th is dedicated to educating road course fundamentals.
With only 50 or so folks, that makes for ALOT of paddock space, so some circle drill and other sliding funamentals will be taught on the unused coned off paddock space. We are regulars at Thunderhill, we're good at utilizing every square inch!

hmm, do you usually go with Getto Dave? Haven't heard much from him lately. Sounds like an excellent opportunity for people to learn new skills and spend time at the track on the cheap! Do you need to have a instructors score card?

I just signed up on-line, $145! Dirt cheap. http://www.ncda.net/index.php this is where you can sign up. Hopefully it won't rain. Common girly girls, get on the list, so far i'm the only one listed! Most of the people will probably be drifting in the paddock, and won't even be using the track.

rotoober, did you get an email back with information? I would like to know how many groups and how much track time is estimated for the grip portion before I sign up. Who else has signed up so far?

With an estimated 50ish drivers, there should be a TON of track time. Maybe two rungroups, of about 25... So two rungroups, 8 hours of open track = you do the math, ALOT of time.
The schedule will be finalized during the final week of registration, but don't wait till the last minute, at this price, we're simply looking to fill it up quick and enjoy ourselves out there.
BTW, Carl, your times are AMAZING!
