WTH did everyone go on Saturday? I was there Sunday and only one FD was there and the 2 Mazda Trix cars. I was disappointed... Still a fun event, but I do think they would get more attendance with lower prices and a better ran event. I still had a blast and cannot wait for the event at Willow Springs July 3-4. Hope to see more 7's this time around.

^^ Wow, sounds like Sunday was not exactly a funday
I'm not happy with how Redline conducted this event. The last time I was with them was July 2007 @ Buttonwillow before they were doing this "Time Attack" thing. They were a lot more organized back then, less crap to worry about. Please share your videos of your runs, I would like to learn from you. If it makes you feel any better, me & Fisa's timing was not working either.

To give you guys an idea of how little track time I put in on Sunday: I usually have to fill up once or twice per track day and on Sunday I had half a tank of gas left at the end of the dayWTH did everyone go on Saturday? I got a few pics of your FD. Shoot me an e-mail address and I'll send them to you if you'd like. Think I said "nice FD" to you at the end of the day. I was the fat *** Puerto Rican guy.
^^^ hahaha i just noticed that too
definately see you all again at mazfest! hopefully it isnt as hot
yea im thinking its an airflor issue too, do you still have your a/c condenser?

The last run my friend had I was a passenger, so that is when I took the Palm in the car to look at the actual temps. I would usually back off for a lap or two toward the end of the session anyway cause I knew the car was getting pretty warm. I'd like to get it running a little cooler, but it is probably an airflow issue.

Yea hehehe but the best part was that no one chose number 7 for their car so I got lucky with that number
I should have trimmed that banner down like 2 inches from the bottom. Im too tall and it would block most of my view in the nascar turn. One time I just followed the car in front of me at 120ish mph and used that car as a guide throughout the turn! It was pretty crazy not being able to see anything but the car in front of me and the ground blurring by.
Fun times
Im very happy with the way my car ran all weekend. My temps were always around 215-220F for water and about 220-230F for oil. My oil temps rose to 240 once when I was pushing harder but a bit of short shifting quickly brought them back down. I've got a nicely ducted aluminum "racing radiator" from Radiator World
and two ducted oem oil coolers. Next time I'll have a bigger Setrab passenger oil cooler which will keep my oil temps in check. I've been thinking of trying out a Koyo N-flow radiator. Any of you have experience with these? I wonder if I'll see a big improvement over my cheap racing radiator. I havent bit the bullet and bought one because my radiator has been working great.

No a/c for now. I'm running without the condenser so the radiator sees clean air. I never turned on my heater the whole weekend. Do you still have your under tray? Try to seal the radiator so all the air is forced through it. This alone worked wonders for me.
Here's some pictures courtesy of Hyper4mance2k. They were taken at the end of the day right before I headed home.

Here you can see how dirty my car got after two track days.

Also I have sealed the radiator and the oil cooler to the undertray with foam tubing, I also sealed the core support to the radiator. I noticed an immidiate drop in oil temps on the street when I did this, and oil temp dropped about 10 degrees on the track. I did all of this when I changed the radiator, so I dont know how much it helped the water temps.
The air flow issue is after air exits the radiator, it has to go around the engine. To fix that you would want to run electric fans, a vented hood, and shrouding that directed air out of the radiator and up to the hood.
Thanks yo! The song, My Favorite Game by the Cardigans was used in the 2nd Gran Turismo game intro. There was no roar recorded from the cam. Instead, there was nothing but high wind whistling lol!!!
