^^ Yep, no dice fellas, at least for me. Here's what I got from an email:

Hey Michael,

Sorry, the one day sponsorships cut off was friday of last week.

Thanks for coming and we hope to see you next time.

Hi Brent, I was one of the Rx-7 drivers on the track on the HPDE event you
hosted on Saturday, May 29. Some of the guys on our internet forum
(rx7club.com) mentioned that webrides.tv was providing some type of sponsor
ship and would reduce our entry fee by some amount. If this is true I would
like to take advantage of it. See my registration below. Let me know what
you find out.

Thanks.

25 ducks is not going to save my life but the gesture would have been nice. why the F**K would you even mention the idea and wave a carrot. In any case I enjoyed the event for the fact that familiar faces were there and nothing else.......................RTA needs to get their Sh** right.

Agreed. The $25 would be a nice gesture. However, I voiced our concerns about the event on this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/west-rx-7-forum-193/when-last-time-you-took-your-ride-piece-nascar-pavement-899846/

No response from Redline Time Attack as of yet. I don't think they care. They probably won't get any of my money any time soon or if ever.

That Webrides sponsorship was a last minute deal for $50 off. I didnt know about this deal since it was a very last minute thing and to be eligible for it, you had to contact Brent about it so he can add you to their sponsorship list beforehand. Sorry guys but had I known about this, I would have made sure all of you would have got it. Even I would have just done 1 track day instead of two since their original sponsorship program was for a 2 day weekend.

Nikolas from Redline said they would knock off $25 bux if we got 10 people in our group which we did. I havent heard anything from them yet but I'll try to see what the deal is.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that theyre super busy at Redline since I havent received a response from them yet. I wish they operated like WebridesTV. These guys actually got in touch with me to tell me that my check was in the mail and to ask how everything went for us. They really came through and I wish Redline did the same. I'll let you guys know what happens.

I've always had great experiences with Redlinetrackevents.com but now that they are just Red Line Time Attack, I think they have too much on their plate. The new owner is not as nice as the previous people either. I went inside the trailer to try and get my free t-shirt they were advertising here on their web banner. They wanted me to jump through loops for a freaking $5 t-shirt. I told them to just keep it after about 10 minutes of trying to get it. (asking for printed receipt, verifying with the owner of redline, etc...)

Almost seems like the business plan is to increase profits and marginalize service to patrons

$5??? I was about to just take one because I thought they were free for participant. However, someone ahead of me asked a Redline worker how much per shirt, he responded $15-20 bux lol!!!

Another funny thing is that I went to the main Redline trailer sometime in the late morning/early afternoon with some of the other guys and asked them to give us our "novice" timing results. The guy there said to come back later because they would take too long to print if we just stood there. I went back before my last session and they still didn't print them. After that I said I don't give a **** anyway about my times and that was before I found out that our timing didn't even work. Pretty eff-ed up if you ask me. You won't see me going to any of their events or supporting them ever again.

+1 on your view and future participation plans. It's very rare to gain access to an event open to the public at a Multi million $ facility but, not at the price of feeling like a second class citizen. Unfortunately I will not look forward to any future Redline event.

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun more the most part... We should definitely set something up for the September 10th Speed Ventures event at Streets of Willow, it would be nice to see a big rotary crew there!

My first track event was with them on May 1st and it cost $160 WITH a transponder...

UPDATE: I got in touch with Nikolas from Redline and asked him about the $25 refund. He asked me to send him the names of all of you guys who drove at this event so he can start processing the $25 dollar refunds.

Please PM me with your full names so I can forward the list to him and get you guys your money.

Thanks!

UPDATE #2: I found a list I saved with all your names and sent it to Nikolas. He said he would go down the list refunding the savings he promised us. All hope is not completely lost.

No problem guys. Just looking out for my fellow track mates

I'm still planning on attending other redline events in the near future and possibly try to compete in future time attacks for points n stuff. Theres a huge lack of RX-7s in these events and it would be nice to show them that not all RX-7s are on fire somewhere or broken down on the side of the road
