man irwindale was off the hook today, it was jammed packed there, there was no place to sit, the announcer said it was the biggest formula d event since it started. A 16 car field in the field and no fc-fd n there. But i got to see lots of tire smoke and lots of crashes .

auto cross in at California speedway in the back parking lot. come on out if you want to. I dont run untill last today. so I would guess around 4:00 or so.

bear in mind I never claimed it was a fun spectator sport. it is Awsome as a driver or a passenger (on practice days) but to just watch is rather boring. if you still want to come out, come on out. we will be there.

if you want to race you need to be there about 11:00 to sign up and walk the course.

me and casey saw that car today at fontana, it was on a trailer just coming threw really quick, a v8 poor car

Don't knock it until you've tried it. So far, everyone who I've brought to an autocross has loved it, even the spectators seem to have fun.

i can't wait to move to victorville. So one of these days i can come down there and do the auto cross thing sounds like fun

me i just watched casey my car is not set up for autox, even tho i have rb springs and tokico shocks it still sits high n the rear and cant figure out why. Casey even showed me a spitfire if that was it with a 20b and it was carbed. I just routed for casey

 

racing beat springs are pointless on the lowering perspective.... zero has them on also, and his car is still a 4x4.... so i guess they keep stock height, but just give better handling?!?! kinda wierd... id chop a few coils off just to make myself happy either that or get some good tein springs

THanks Rice for comming out and cheering me on. it just wasnt my day. First run was quick with the feeling of spinnign all over the place.
second run was much faster, still loose though. overall a fair run.
the third run was blazin fast untill I made a typical rooky mistake that I know better. I went into a turn a little to hot. the car started a push and what do I do???? I turn the wheel even more and make it even worse! when I brought the wheel back to streight, the car caught and shot hard to the right causing me to miss part of the slolom and DNF the run.

best run was #2 with a 65.5xx and was good enough for 2nd place.

the last few runs I have done, I have been rather unhappy with the car. it has been feeling way loose. I marked the tires to guage roll over, and the rear is not even CLOSE to rolling over to the outside edge of the tire. I really need to take some of the camber out of the rear. I just have way to much. this will be done by the next race.

 

^that IS a long drive to Irwindale. Was this weekend D1 , or Formula D?

RE Drifter, it's even better when your buddies are there, you can compare times, swap cars, and talk trash which is lots of fun.
