here are pics of the RX-2. I think I decided to go ahead and sell it. It was a great Idea to have a "do what ever you want to" car. I just have different intrest right now.

will not be advertising out of this thread for A little while as I will sell to someone here for what I payed for it. other wise I will clean it up and make some money.

as you all know I payed $3,000 plus the $200 I payed to have it current registered until July 2007. $3,200 and it's yours..

the car is rough around the edges, needs a good cleaning up, and a good "putting stuff back on" day. there are some parts sitting in the trunk that were removed from the previouse owner.

the car has a bridged 6 port. nice BRAP BRAP BRAP. I am told it was built by R&R Rotary. I think there is something wrong with the Delorto carbs as the car starts right up but does not have a whole lot of power. the previous owner was saying that there is something that is broken in the carb causing it to flood. I never got a chance to take a look at it, but yeah, it smells RICH! Since I bought it in March I have yet to go out there and work on it. (Partial reason for selling it.)

Car also has a second gen tranny in it (no not TII). I am told it has a 1st gen rear end in it. (nice Posi rather then the single track it HAD). the clutch is pretty obvious it is not stock, I would guess stage 2 or 3. (the day I baught it I drove it up to Jack in the box). new painless wiring that is 75% compleated. (headlights and turn signals need to be finished). the hood is black. sorry I didnt get any pictures of it with the hood on. the hood is in ok condition, not great, but no major dents. (the reason I say ok, is it looks like they took the skin off the frame and screwed it back on to the frame. I would have this fixed when getting it painted.)

interior is not the best. seats need to be mounted.... in fact I would put a better set of seats in if it were me. the dash needs to be put back together. (not sure how much is or is not in the trunk.) I would also install some carpet while I was in there. (did this once in a Honda, not hat hard to do.. I was suprised) windsheild is cracked and needs to be replaced.

Tires look new. car is "Supposed" to run 12.5's when the carb is fixed. I think I would put it more in the 13's.... but what ever, still a quick car.... AND LEGAL!


TII tranny, Solid hub 6 puck clutch for the TII, and 2 new MSD coils come with the car for an extra $400. (good deal considering I have $600 invested in the goodies. there might even be more included tha tI forgot about)

i dont see a problem w/ it, i have some extra space in back.... and if you let me use it a few times we'll call it even(that is until the landlord says something, but i have 3 rx7's out back and she hasnt said anything yet) i need to be able to get my car to the muffler shop for the downpipe and intercooler install....... speaking of intercoolers.....

very nice job.... its funny cause you did the exact same thing i did... i mounted the front mount before the piping, and drove it like that for a while (not deliberatly, i was planning on doing the full install, but ran into problems)..... i swear.. 2peas in a pod!

hopefully i get my car back from raceon soon so you can at least see it.... lemme know when you get into town, ill give you directions to my house, and we'll hit up the town a little... ill take you to speeddemon32's house......and grab a bite to eat!

note.... oh, and i decided not to do the rhd swap.. so i have everything you'll need to do it! i paid $500 and had to drive to LA to get it, but $500 and its yours or trade me your perdy carbon fiber hood

I got my new daily driver today strait out the shoroom floor it has a total of 20miles on it while the 7 sleeps for operation RE--MICROTECH---T60-1 here it is so if anybody is interested in a car hauler let me know i am selling it cheap brand new 1600.00 OBO

yup same hood the only diffrence is those small scoops ...bro i just got the bike friday today i went riding and the sucker pulls hard but i am keeping her under 6k because i have to break in the engine first it only has 90 miles on it

 

thats sweet...... break-ins are the toughest part for me on anything! its gonna be so damn tough staying off of boost w/ my new motor!

 

Looks nice, but be sure to ride safe and wear protective gear. I visited a friend in the hospital tonight, and helped him get from his bed to his walker so he could use the restroom. He's got a couple of titanium rods holding his right leg together at the moment, and a few staples holding the skin shut where his broken bones were sticking out. We're still not sure how he crashed, because he can't remember much of that day yet. I personally love motorcycles and used to own one, but they deserve the same respect that guns do: bad stuff happens when things go wrong.

I agree, tha's why think think it would be fun to have a bike on the track. yeah the speeds are higher, but the 3,400 pound cars are not there.

I was on the freeway and all the sudden traffic came to a stop and a big truck damn near hit me because he pulled into my lane (I was forced to move over, the the car next to me wes forced into the emergancy lane.) a bilke had layed it down and nearly got run over by the big rig.

anyways, I am sure the bike is a blast! man I love the sound. I almost nut when I get to hear one lay on it. :drool

Alright guys..... Just an FYI and a reminder.

The next Monthly meeting for San Bernardino will be a MALIBU meet. this will be the last Malibu meet so we figured why not show some I.E. representation.

I am guessing we will be meeting someplace in Fontana/Rancho and Caravaning over to the Malibu meet. I would really like to get all of us to go as it will be the ONLY time we do Malibu run. Let's make this a good one!

Caravan meeting spot wil be posted as soon as we come up with a set place. of course it will be early, and should take a good part of the day. but come on, it will only happen once.

On a sidenote: I went to a car meet here in San Bernardino, pretty close to CSUSB (just over the hill from the school) at a park that had a skate park there. It was pretty general as far as cars go.. just about everything besides rotaries! I was the only Rx-7 there, no 8s either. At least a new 7 series BMW and a really nice NSX showed up. Funny too, some guy in a Ferrari (couldn't tell if it was a 360 Modena or a 430) drove accross the street from us and everyone was like, "he must be lost.." Haven't been to a car meet in a while, so it was nice to talk to others. I spent the whole time talking to a couple of WRX/subaru guys. We have turbos in common

It'll be nice to see other rotaries. BTW, I've been looking to ride in a 1st gen that is pretty stock/in good shape. I used to have one years ago, but it was in bad shape. Hope a clean 1st gen shows up
