Damon, Speedway Muffler just said they wouldn't work on my car if it had a presilencer. They wouldn't even put my cats on and swap out the presilencer, even if I came down on a tow truck! Some of the employees there sure have treated poorly :-\

Oh well, no biggie, we have like 5 muffler shops within my 10 mile free towing range.

Pull a 'Greenman' and drive 5 miles on just the downpipe.

My car is now some ***-backwards hybrid. I have to charge it every 10 miles to run my gasoline motor. I'm seriously looking at Z's

I got you covered matt I will bring an extra alternator I have and you can have it but I don't think your problem will be solved. It is your wiring. I would like to consider myself an expert when it comes to the fc wiring system If you want I can give it a look after the meet.

Bummer man!

Its raining pretty hard here in Rancho, so I'm sure the mountains over there are VERY icy so I'm sitting this cruise out. Summer tires + icy roads + my winter driving skills = premature death.

I just took a look at it, will, and I was thinking the same thing "somethings not wired up correctly". But I have a constant power line running to the S terminal and and power to B, I even have L hooked up correctly. I don't need the old R (ignition) wire (on the harness side) anymore, right?

When I put my voltage meter up to it how many volts should the alt be putting out?

Yeah, the battery puts out 12 volts. The alternator turns it up to between 13 and 14 I think.

matt if the alt is s5 or s6 conversion make sure that the constant power goes directly to the battery with its own wire. Dont just splice into a wire that sees battery voltage such as the fatty coming out off the alt.

also make sure the L terminal is connected to the White/black wire on the [EM] harness.

Ok, quick update:

- Brand New S4 alt, wired up perfectly (R- b/w ; L-w/b)

- Replaced blown 40amp Egi Ing fuse. (short somewhere??)

- Fully de-flooded (plugs out, egi out, three 15 sec cranks)

my plugs look really bad, but they ran before so

Also I just checked the fuel pump and its sending fuel to the rails.
