I work night shift and at around 1am my friend and I went to go get mexican food down the street. He wanted to drive so I let him. David wanted to see what it could do so did a full second gear pull then a third and finally slowed down at about 85. Guess we passed a Highway patrol because we were doing the speed limit again (55) and saw the flashers in rear view mirror so we pulled into the mexican place. David already had 4 or 5 speeding tickets he was paying so his ticket would be a few thousand dollars, the car had no front plate and a light was flickering on and off so a fix it ticket for me. The officer told us to hang tight while he called a tow truck and pulled us up on his in car computer. He came back from his car asked us what the speed limit was and when my light and plate would be fixed. He then let us go saying are lunch was almost over and we better hurry up. Maybe he felt sorry for davids fine but never have I seen a highway patrol give a warning.

Anyways car is running perfect, think previous owner did a rebuilt because coming up on 150,000 still has good compression and coolant seals still intact after 2 overheats in the past.

so i just got some 7/16" spacers (1cm / 10mm).

Macz said i might need longer studs, can anyone confirm/ disprove this?

 

for a 10mm spacer... not really.... but i always recommend it when putting spacers on.

 

The front studs might be longer, I'm not sure because I haven't put spacer on to verify.

I did however, try putting 8mm spacers in the rear, and I didn't go with it because only 3 or 4 threads were showing. I ended up using a 5mm spacer.

I think I got mine from Summit when I got longer studs for the race car. They were made by ARP.

went to go try a tanning booth for the first time on sunday..... figured id try to get some color before i head out to lake havesu this weekend...... BAD IDEA!

i layed in their lowest uv rated bed, and only stayed in for 6 minutes..... im now extremely sunburnt 99% of my body..... its one thing to be burnt on your back and shoulders... i can handle that... but my entire body.. words cant describe it! lets put it this way... ive been up for 72 hours straight because i cant lay in a bed! (which is why im on the computer @ 7:30AM! .....

im not typing this for sympothy... it was my stupid idea..... im just venting because i have nothing else to do so early in the morning
