So then this is what I do now...... Real Estate Agent!!
I dunno if you guys remember but back near the beginning of the year I told you guys I was a loan officer and can hook you up with a nice refi-rate and what not. I didn't like that so now I'm a real estate agent. I work for a nice broker firm out in Pleasanton and they do everything from commercial/business purchases, assisting in land purchases, to residential which is where I come in.
So if you need a home or want to sell your home, let me know and I can hook you up nicely with good care. Anything you're looking for just let me know and I will try to help you the best that I can.
On another job note, I also work a side job on the weekdays dealing with construction and industrial supplies and equipment. I can get pretty much any tool or fastener you're looking for and can hook you up with my discount. This month we're having a huge blowout on all power tools, hand tools, tool accessories ranging from Bosch to DeWalt to Craftsman. If you guys need tools or anything related to building projects or fixing things then I can help.
Anways so there's a quick update....... Now as for the MR2, the car is on the market now, I'm selling her and moving towards the luxury/cruising style. Imports will always be in my heart and I will still return to them after I get my priorities in place.
Peace!

Cool, good luck with the new job.
I work for WaMu wholesale lending, let me know if your broker also does loans and want to get approved through WaMu, if he's not approved already. Maybe I could sneak ya in past my boss.

Madrx7racer - Funny how loan officer got thrown around here. I was training for a loan officer position in the very beginning of 2005 and quit after 2 weeks because the ******** over there couldn't train me right. The turnover is high and the manager was too busy making money and worrying about his accounts rather than to help me out.
This other real estate agent thing that I'm starting seems to be much better for me. I'm still in the middle of taking my online classes and getting the license, but I can still sell by referrering clients to my broker that I'm working for. I will get a much less commission but it's still something.
Zach - I can help you no matter where you are, this company has TONS of resources and abilities so just let me know.
Wes - What kinda torque wrench do you want? They can get expensive, but I can pretty much hook anyone up with our employee discounts.

congrats on the job man! I hope it works out but I'm a little concerned about my friends in the lending business when the bubble bursts! Inventories are already dramatically rising, houses staying on the market longer and lending is tightening. These 125% financing, stated income, interest only, ARM's, and now 40 year loans can only keep this thing going a little while longer.
My friend had a pretty good job (managing and enterprise car rental store) and left it to work for one of these sub-prime lenders. He had about 5 years with enterprise but his brother who has been doing loans during the housing runup talked him into getting into the business. Don't get me wrong, for not having a college education, his brother was making well over 100 grand a year during the bubble expansion years but now things are coming to and end and he is very worried about his job. Just a heads up.
Lots of great info on this site:

BTW: this site is updated daily with new articles from across the nation and lots of replies. I usually spend acouple hours a day digesting it all.......lol

it's hard tho........I have been doing cold calling 2 weeks with some results........gotta get working a bit more.....today was my more productive day.......less hang ups and more talking........slowly building up some clients and also began refinancing my parent's house to lower their interests some more...........
slowly started calling small realtors and let them know who I am and and the company I work for in order to start a relationship and help each other out......

Like the other people have mentioned. it just depends on your experience and how good you are. When I was in the loan officer business, it was cold calling none stop. One of the guys sitting across from me told me he's been there for about 5 months and has made around $35k already. Whereas the top manager guy (who was supposed to train me but didn't) got a check for $5k EVERY SINGLE WEEK. That's what drove me into that business, but they just didn't have a good organized management system going on so now I'm trying out the real estate part. Most of the time these jobs are strictly commission only so don't expect to get paid for 3-5 months if you're new. Let me know how it goes.......
