ok i just got done installing my JDM 91 TurboII. i was told by dave at speedmachine to use my complete s4 TurboII harness, S4 Injectors and ECU and full manifolds. i did this and everything is wired up. of coarse there are some plugs taht had no place to go anymore cuz of emission stuff not being on this new motor. anways the car cranks and cranks and just spits white smoke everywhere. it just wont kick over. i dont know if my wiring is wrong or what. if anyone can help id really appreciate it. thanks

did you do a comprestion test before you swaped in the Jspec?White smoke usually means coolant being turned to steam inside the motor. Check the plugs, and also the TPS . It might just be flooding itself. Start there and let us know!!!Get a few new sets of plugs cuz you will kill them in a hurry while you try to get it right. Good luck youngin I didn't get my first rex till I was 22!

ok heres the deal. the white smoke is definetly fuel being burnt. i think i might have gotten my injector plugs mixed up with the primaries and secondaries. is there any way to tell which plug goes to what? my friend who doesn't know anything about rx7's but knows alot about motors said that if my plugs are mixed up then i could be dumping fuel while trying to get it to start. oh and i have a fuel cut off switch and i try cranking it for about 10 seconds to burn out any fuel that might be there and flip the switch on the motor starts bogging like it trying to start but its being restricted. i really think it might be my injector plugs so if anyone has any way to tell which plug goes to what id really appreciate it. ill be sure to mark them when i find the right ones

Did you set the base timing on the engine to make sure it is right? Also, pull the plugs and see if they are wet with fuel. If so, clean them off or install a new set. Before putting in new ones, pull the EGI fuse, and crank over the engine to get rid of excess fuel in the engine. Put in the new plugs and give it a try.
