so do you, but my numbers aren't to impressive, there are guys with bigger cams pushing way over 450rwhp, but the thing with bigger cams is, yes you have crazy power up top but lower power is pretty much none existing. thats why i went with a small cam, so i don't sacrifice lower power. that lower power comes in hand when coming out of a corners, now i just gotta have the guts to down shift all the way to 2nd gear to use that power instead of 3rd gear. im not sure if amemiya noticed when he waved me by that it took me a bit to pass him cause i wasn't in my power band. plus i added weight instead of taking out weight

About what rpm and what gear were you in if you remember? BTW, your car sounds mean as hell, the Z's, both C5 and C6, sound really good with an opened up exhaust. I was actually thinking of buying a C5Z as a 3rd car... but that's wishful thinking until I hit the lottery


oh, and sorry about your car man. thats the stuff that scares me when im on the track, i dont know what i would do if that happened to me, since my car is a daily driver. glad to hear you walked away with no injuries
It was about the most entertaining day at a track I've ever had...
The car finally started working over all comers just like v8-7s are supposed to.
Fastest car I reeled in was a Ford GT but my best duels of the day were all with the red vette convertible... We had a good 6 or 7 lap battle going in two successive rounds. I finally blew a couple corners getting loose after I flat spotted my fronts so I eventually gave him the point by. It was the only time I was passed all day including the session where I stepped up a group.

by the end of the straight i was in 5th gear and i would say rpms were around 4500 maybe 5000, i cant remember exactly. i can tell you this, before, my 4th gear redlined at 6500 and speed was 140mph, since then the rev limiter has been bumped to 7000 rpm because of the cam and stronger valve springs.
c5z's are cheap now a days, you can pick one up for around 20 grand, i picked mine up for 25000 3 years ago tomorrow, i bought it as a present to myself for my 21st birthday.

motor wise, i got intake, throttle body, intake manifold, a babe cam that all the v8 guys give me **** about cause its so small, full exhaust tuned putting down 430rwhp with injectors maxed out at 105%. ill be going back hopefully this week to get it retuned with new injectors and some nitrous. cant wait to see what nitrous feels like.
i ditched the stock leaf spring setup and went with some coil overs, tires are nitto nt01's.
im going to try to get some sway bars for the next event, and start messing with the coil over settings. i still need practice, im know where near the potential of the car.

I have some old coilovers that more than likely need to be rebuilt, a catback, downpipe, some slightly stiffer bushings and Hankook RS3 tires. Everything else is stock including a full interior. I dont know how much power I'm making but a wild guess would be somewhere around 230 rwhp. This was my 2nd time running the roval so a little more practice should get me better times.
