that oil cooler is too funny. by the looks of it you should just push the whole car off a cliff.

player, you do know how to put the crank pully back on the correct way...cause you didn't have to do it that way...all you had to do was take off the four bolts holding the pully then un-bolt the whole water pump, and then put the pully back on the same way you took it off...

To clean the engine bay and the tranny use carb cleaner works wonders...

when you take the pressure plate off two bolts are different from the other 4 make sure those go back in the same spot so pay close attention to that...

also when you break the motor down to revove the 18 studs one stud is longer then all the other make sure you take note of that...

If you don't have a manual, make sure you pay close attention to the crush washer and flat washer and all that bull **** hidden behind the front oil cover...

To remove the front pully bolt you have to lock the flywheel...Its going to take a breaker bar and patients...the front bolt is held and locked with lock tight at 75 pounds...DON'T HAMMER THE FRONT OFF!!! like most do when patients is gone and out the window...

When you break the motor down, don't miss match the housings, and rotors and all the seals, keep everything together per rotor per housing...mark everything and put **** in seals or bags...

This guy is in Rohnert park, CA

Do we know any rotary pros in Rohnnert park?

Subscribing. Keep us updated. I want to try a rebuild myself, but I am still researching as much as I can for now. (in other words, waiting for the $$ to get a motor)

use both the degreaser and carb cleaner, you will get better results, or just take everything out of the engine bay for a better looking engine bay
do you really have to take all the studs out?

yes if you want to crack the block open, its the only way
i do have the haynes manual for it would that tell me it?

that manual will go into full detail with step by step procedures...use it...i did after a few rebuilds you won't need it really...
i have access to a air gun so the nut shouldnt be that hard right

depends how strong the gun is and what size tank and hp your using...
ok i have a huge table to put all the motor out and organized

your heading in the right direction
thanks for the imput

good stuff though, look man you can't **** this motor up breaking it down or re-building it...unless you start using a hammer to break **** or lose bolts when re-building it...

theedn... im not sure if this is your first time...but just mark everything and get a good visual on where **** goes...If you have to put different sections of the motor in baggies like you mentioned in your post...Other then that your golden...If you haven't done so already did you put the main pully back on the same way you took it off? Very vital as it has to do with setting the timing on your car...Other then that your pretty much golden...
