Oil Cooler Cleaning, local company?

Carb cleaner or gasoline first. Then simple green/water mixture. clear water rinse. Carb cleaner again. That should take care of it and will be much cheaper than paying someone to do it.

i guess it depends if the shop is equipped to do it or not, our radiator shop is right near our air field so maybe that is why they are equipped to do it, you can call around to find out who is equipped to service them properly.

give Pankey's Radiator a shot, they're in Hayward. Had mine steam cleaned and pressure tested to 150 psi. I don't know how much it'll cost, I know the people there so my stuff is free.

The button line, if you are building a brand new engine with new bearing and etc. it is recomand to get your oil cooler rebuild...

You are correct in not using a Radiator shop.
I used a FAA shop in TX.
I did find United Accesories in Garland TX that will flush and test the operation of the Thermostat for ~115 + shipping. They are a FAA certified facility. Contact Gary Woodard @ 1-888-cooler2
