It's almost done but something is wrong with the clutch so i'm taking it to a shop tomorrow to have it fixed. besides the pedals and stuff the whole engine is put back together. Me and my friend kyle got the engine bay done.

So sorry, forgot to thank Dan too! He was the main man in getting the harness off. Thanks so much guys!

was trying to bleed it and we were pumping the clutch, then what i assume to be, brake fluid started pouring out of the tranny, up by the pressure plate, flywheel section out of where that little "legality" plate for the tranny is. every time you pump the clutch it spews out of there.

only way i can think that it would leak inside the bellhousing is if the seal on the slave was bad, you have a spare slave at least. you could try swapping them and see if that fixes it.

No worries, it's getting fixed. Hopefully. Looks like i'm going to need the dash harness so that all the sensors work, looks like a bitch and a half. I was reading a way to avoid that by simply connecting the right wires from the connectors. unfortunately it doesn't look so simple. But i'm sure it's feasible since some other guys have already done it. Jan can i get a price check on a dash harness? :-D club discount of course! hehe

I'll be there, but i'll be probly be in my dads porsche and I won't be running. unless a miracle happens with this car. They diagnosed that that throw out bearing broke and ruined the slave cylinder. I also need to get the dash harness, or at least the connnectors and get that hooked up by saturday in order for me to make it. probly won't be happening.

the throwout bearing broke? sounds like BS to me... but the slave cylinder did look pretty beat up, i would have just swapped in the extra and tried that first.

I put the good lookin slave cylinder in there, the other one is bad. I got the brake pedal hooked up so whatever else needs to be fixed in the tranny and then the dash harness and it'll be good to go. Tranny shop can't take me till monday and it's gonna be pretty expensive, they are going to yank the tranny.

edit: what i meant to say is that i swapped the slave cylinders before we put them in i didn't replace the one that was in there

did you try bleeding the clutch after you put the other slave in? better results?

why did they say there was a problem with the throwout bearing? it looked fine when i looked at it, it won't snap into place and seat until the clutch is bled so i wouldn't try starting the car until the clutch is operating ok. it is a funky setup, nothing like i have seen before in a pressure plate and throwout bearing though.

I am going to try and put the other slave in, in a little while here. I have never bled the clutch so I don't know if i'm even doing it right. But i'll look in my manual it's gotta be in there somewhere. I have your instructions but the first time we tried it just kept pouring out and never stopped. So I dunno what's up with that and we still haven't put fluid in the diff or tranny yet but i did get a hand pump so that's possible. How do i know when they have enough fluid?

And the mechanic took my slave cylinder off and apart. left it hanging and took my slave cylinder bolts. WTF! ****** bitch cuz i couldn't change the slaves like i had planned to.

there is fill plugs and drain plugs on the transmission and differential. drain the old fluid out by removing the drain plugs at the bottom then reinstall them. pull the fill plugs out (upper plug looks like the bottom one usually) and pump fluid in until it comes out of the threads, when the fluid level is even with the bottom of the threads then reinstall the fill plugs and you are done. check the manual to be sure where the fill and drain plugs are because mine had 4 plugs on the transmission, 2 fill and 2 drain.

when you are bleeding the clutch the fluid should come out of the pointy end of the bleeder screw on the end of the slave cylinder, if it is leaking into the transmission then there is a problem still.

You have to pump the clutch with the bleed valve tightened, hold down the pedal, open bleed valve to let out air/fluid.. then repeat that process several times. If you just leave the valve open the whole time it's not going to work very well. Heh

As for the Auto-X, I'm 50/50 I guess.. I'm not sure I'm going to have $35 + gas, etc. to spend on it, I'm somewhat broke right now. If gas wasn't freakin' $2.50 a gallon maybe I'd be more excited about it.
