Modesto is about an hour and a half south of Sacramento, 35 minutes south of stockton, and 2 hours north of fresno.

Hmm, the autox coinsides with picnic day, but I should be able to make it and head back up here in time, I just need to fix the boost spike that's come up (and find a helmet I can wear in my car) or I won't be running.

I know most of you don't me, but I represent, hardcore on the eastside, OG from the west, gonna find time to take some leave, on mission to find Mr. Warren G. J/K sounded good in my head.

I believe sometime this spring or summer I will be making a 3k mile drive home. I hope I do it, and I hope I make it.

Later Days
Nieto

BTW I gotta stay in the know with what you guys are up to.

Might attend some of these...but not the first one

Hi, gang. I've been silent a while while getting my new 13BRE stuffed into the Beast. Now that it is done, I just need to get up to Ground Control and get my shocks recharged (actually, I'm going to build my own nitrogen bottle charging system so I don't have to go there anymore). Anyway, I need to get some races in to get current for my Mazdacomp account, so besides the Sac Raceway drags I might make it to one of these. Most likely it won't be until the June 11th run, since it is a Shrine Charity event and I happen to be a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Folsom. I like the idea of my entry money going to one of my favorite causes - I'll be a Fast Master

Have fun, and see you around.

Oh, I might be willing to part with the PFC with dataloggit I have to a worthy local. I moved to the Wold 3D v.4 unit. Whoever it was who was looking for one should PM me.

The TII is down. Found a nice leak coming from my water pump housing. So I'm taking her out of commission. Looks like it's time for a new water pump, wp housing, and I might as well buy a new thermostat while I'm at it. On a good note though, my custom brackets for my E-fan are being made now and will be welded onto my radiator by the end of next week. Gotta love Air Force welders.

Zach

P.S. Nieto is a very good friend of ours. You guys will really like him when you meet him this spring.

Zach, i got a spare water pump and housing that i got with my core T2 engine, if you want it come by and pick it up. doesn't look like it was leaking since there is no coolant stains under the pump. for the gasket, i just use universal gasket paper and cut my own.

just bring me your old water pump housing and i'll swap ya, i have a new water pump on my engine but the water pump housing had some electrolysis pits in it and i was going to swap it out one of these days.

If I go...there's a 1 % chance that I can auto cross. 99% that I'll just find a ride since my dad said no to me autocrossing Gahh I want to race my damn car. Straight lines get boring. 50% or the time on the streets I chicken out since there could be oil/gravel/etc on the road when I want to take a few corners fast.

Ben, thanks for the offer of the water pump but I'm just going to buy a new pump, housing, and thermostat. That way I know that EVERYTHING in the cooling system is brand new. Besides, I priced everything out and it comes to $222.00 plus shipping so that's not too bad.

Hahaha He WOULD let me drive down there in my car. BUT somehow he would find out. My dad is really wierd like that. Nothin gets by him. I was staying with my mom for 2 weeks and decided to get drunk one weekend with a few friends. Cops never came by. Everyone stayed in the house. No loud music. My dad doesn't know where the guy lived. Mom doesn't care what I do so I was all ....next weekend rolls by. I'll quote my dad as he walks into me room with a smile on his face: "So...Nick...how much alcohol did you have last Saturday night?" ....I was like wtf?! No he wasn't taking a random stab in the dark. I usually never go out and get drunk, but he knew. Yeah **** like that always happens. I think he has some kind of transmitter on me or somethin...It's really wierd.

Cusco rear strut brace
720cc Greddy secondarys
Spearco fmic -need to find someone to do my custom piping
3 gauges for my holder that I ordered from 1fasttii
Speakers front and back
custom intake piping (cheap honda cai off ebay )
powerslot slotted rotors

getting the wastegate ported (sometime in June)
removing smog pump and taking the belt off ac compressor
Doesn't seem like a WHOLE lot but It's enough to make me pretty damn happy

Zach, cool, but if you do change your mind it is sitting in my garage if you do want to try and get your car set up to do the auto x.

lemme know how much you want for the Corbeau seat Nick, i may be interested but i was planning on putting a match set in my car and in red/grey-black with recliners to match the car but who knows, i may just take it off your hands. btw, don't forget about the fender too. your dad would probably dupe me into being his inside source... i hate being put in the middle like that but you could always just ride with others who are entering. i'm not shooting for a fantastic time, more just for the fun of it so i don't mind having a passenger, might even balance the car a little better. assuming i even pass the tech...

Smog: just explain that it's a super-safe controlled environment, sanctioned by the SCCA. You have safety gear and tons of safety crew around at all times. Also from what I've read you never leave 2nd gear so it's not like you're going 100mph on a track. If anything it makes you a better, safer driver.

If that doesn't work threaten to drive that way on public streets. Heh

I'm going to try reasoning with him again sometime in the future....his current reason:
Something on your car will break and I'll have to come help you. EVEN THOUGH there are a bunch of rotary wiz people around me. I dunno...I'll make him mad by dumping all my money into my car now Hes already pretty mad I just bought a cd player and am ordering speakers in a week.
