If you call Spearco and tell them what dimentions and style you want they will make you one. Or at least quote you a price.

Damn, how many motors did that FD go through? ***

3 motors, two sets of turbos (in need of 3).

When I say three that means i'm on the third one now with 40k miles on it.

Ebay's quality is **** compared to a Spearco core. It costs money to play Nick. I'm buying my core from the turbocalculator site. I'm just going to have to suck it up and fork over the money. But then again $500 doesn't sound bad seeing as I'm about to drop $3400 on my turbo kit.

actually if you could tell the quality of different cores in bar and plate i would give you a cookie. from a $100 core to a $500 core most of the quality is in the welding seams and endtanks which i have rarely seen even cheap ones fail with up to 20psi of pressure.

i know it's nice having name brand stuff but in reality you are just paying for the name on a lot of stuff, it's not a bad idea to try and save money where you can to get more and better upgrades later on.

don't beat up the kid too bad, i kinda pushed him in his current direction.

it's nice if you got the money but as we all know most of us seven owners can't chuck money at our cars without sacrificing something in the end.

right now i just wish i had the time to chuck at my car, it wouldn't even be recognizable under the hood.

Ben, you have a very good point about the quality of the cores. But the welds are something that I don't want to take a chance on. Plus I should be able to get a decent discount on the Spearco cores so it will work out for me in the end.

or if you have a tig or heli-arc welder it would be way cheaper to do it yourself, if i had them i would. wish my mig could weld thinner aluminum.

Ben come check out my dad's new welder that me spent a spearco core's worth on...it might be able to do it, but I dont know **** about welders..I'm not running a huge *** turbo like you will Zach :P so I dont need an insanely awesome intercooler...anything is better than my interheater I have. Oh I'm thinking of running alcohol or water injection...prolly watter since I already have to deal with puttting 2 stroke in my car...dont wanna have to worry about alcohol too...but then again its a little more power :P...if I do what J-rat did....550cc injector forcing it all in there hehe..Ben never works on his car since I'm always buggin him to work on mine ;p I'm actually going to take a shot at installing a few things myself :O huge shock I know haha..ebay would be my choice, but I wish someone would just make me a bar and platre intercooler the EXACT size I want hehe

you said he bought a mig, i already can say it likely wont work, if it does work then the welds still will not be satisfactory because only heli-arcs and tig can do precise aluminum welds on thin aluminum.

my welder is a mig and cost over $1k for the whole setup and i wouldn't even trust it to do that kind of job.

intercooler piping, maybe. IC cores, no.
