Nice looking new toys there Ben. Too bad you didn't have the time to get everything in prior to today's activities.

We'll see you guys sometime after 10.

Sorry, I think I missed you guys. I brought the lady friend and she kind of prefferred the shade. I walked over to the lot a few times but didn't find anybody there (just cars). Next meet though, we'll hook up.

haha, you guys were getting paxed as ES/street tire. They just assumed your cars were stock and non-turbo and put you in a super slow class. It was great seeing you guys again and meeting some new people. I cant wait to do it again. Too bad I cant go to the BBQ. Oh well, maybe next time.

how is a fully stripped 240sx sr20det with full slicks and totally fixed for race, slowclass. it ran a 1.05.xxx when alot of cars were 1.15.xxx to 1.25.xxx
by the way the streetable 7's ran 1.09.xxx 1.13.xxx and two ran 1.15.xxx
the two faster ones were third gens and the 1.15 ones were 2nd gens
and not one car ran under a minute unless it was done later in the day when we left

thing is there is about 5-6 classes that all run in the same run group so rather than having 25 classes all running seperately they lump them all into 4 groups with several different classes running in the same group.

kind of confusing but the short of it is, we were not in the same class as the FDs, the vettes or the modded cars but we did run in the same group.

and althuogh the times were not all over the place like you would think, it is mostly driver skill on this course. the tight turns even out the playing field between the slower vs the faster cars.

I didn't make it to the last meet because another 5-rib alternator pulley got murdered. I ordered a 10-rib pulley set and I should have it on and the car should be fully tuned on Saturday. It probably will explode or something, though.

I haven't been having problems with anything but the supercharger kit. The alternator pulley had too much stress on it so it kept getting deformed (sounded unlikely but it's seriously what happened), even with the nut on completely tight. So I just had them ship me a 10-rib setup so I have twice the surface area and I don't have to tighten the belt so much anymore.

On a related note, my shocks are low on gas so they're starting to lose their dampening force. New KYB AGXs and RSR race springs on the way! Probably not going to be in and aligned by sunday, though.

So how late did group 4 go until? I probably should have run, but there was no way I was staying out there 'til 6 or 7. Seemed like it was going to go for that long or longer. I got burnt up too, it sucks. So did anyone beat 1:00?

Mike

i see, so once you put on a smaller compressor pulley(for more pressure) you had to torque the belt down more to keep it from slipping and this caused the problems? i hope the 10 rib pulleys are made beefey enough or i'd be jumping all over the kit's manufacturer...

I was just refering to how they put them in the E-stock street tire class when they should have been in A-stock had they been stock and either ASP, OSP, or SM2 in their current states of tune. That 240sx is very fast (was running something like 1:03s this past weekend) but is in his proper class (OSP). And no, no one beat 1:00. the prepared corvette did get close but wasnt able to do it. By the way I found out that that corvette has between 650-700hp. Pretty nuts. I left around 6:30 and ran in group 4 but a few people still had runs to do when I left.
