SORRY GUYS... but I am gonna have to bail on the poker run

When: Saturday September 16th start time 1pm
Where: Starting in Lincoln and ending in Roseville
Why: To have a driving based meet and for a couple of people to win some money!
There is an entrance fee of $20 for this event! (See below for details)

Alright, we have all mentioned that we wanted a meet where driving was involved. Well now we are having one. This will be a poker run starting in Lincoln then heading up the nice twisty mountain roads to Auburn and back down into Roseville where we will hang out, eat, and decide the winner of the poker run. This is not a timed event so don't worry about who finishes first!

If you don't know how a poker run works I'll explain. Everyone that wants to play pays their entry fee and recieves 1 card at the starting point. From there we will have 3 stations set up at various points along the way where you will stop and receive another card. You'll receive your final card at the end point. Once everyone is at the end point then we'll see who has the best 5 card poker hand. The top 3 people will get paid out of the entrance fees. So hopefully everyone will come out and have a great time. There has been a lot of time and effort put into this already. We started planning it at the beginning of August. Special thanks go out to Evan (Racerrex90) for mapping out the course. It's a GREAT drive and I think that everyone will really enjoy it.

Mike, I hope that you'll be able to make it. It's going to be GREAT! Nader thanks for coming out bro. You'll be glad you did. It's an incredible run.

We are meeting up at McBean Park in Lincoln. Here are the directions.

Take I-80 East to the exit for Hwy 65 North towards Marysville. Keep straight on Hwy 65 north all the way in to Lincoln. You'll know you're in Lincoln because the speed limit will drop down to 25mph. You'll come to a stoplight which will be the corner of Hwy 65 and McBean Park Drive (Hwy 193). Take a right at that stop light and continue straight. About 1/4-1/2 mile up you'll see McBean Park on your right. Just look for the entrance to the parking lot and you'll see us there. We will have nice maps for everyone to look at for the poker run. Each car will get a map so that you won't get lost. If you want to use google maps or whatever then use this address. It's just after the parking lot where we'll be so it will get you to the right place.

Did we decide on a time yet? Preston, up for a small *** caravan? I doubt Cooper has $20 to spend + gas money and Jackie is riding with me.

And by 1 minute he means 1 hour... I hope. There is going to be a lot of driving involved, but i'm not going to complain. Maybe we can all cruise up the twisties during the poker run, and not start at seperate times. It would be funner than driving an hour by ourselves.

Most of the people attending the meet live in or around sac so we can't caravan with them.

Wow, people are dropping off like flies!! Looks like only 7 people are actually running. I was hoping for a bigger turn out than this, but it's still going to be a lot of fun for everyone. And with less people running, you'll have a better chance of taking top prize.

haha sorry bro. But yeah, I just got my Bonez cat in the mail today! I'm about to buy my Racing Beat catback from a guy on the forums. If that doesn't go through I will just buy the Racing Beat headers and go cheap and buy the corksport exhaust for now. But yeah, where in the Bay Area do you live?

Mo, yeah it's fine if your friend wants to come.

Sucks that a bunch of people dropped out of this. There was a LOT of time and planning put in to this and I hoped that there would be some good participation.

Mark, yes Berry will be there.

Yeah, maybe reschedule? I guess it's kinda short notice for that.

I'm still not sure I can make it either, right now I'm waiting for FedEx to deliver my wheels. I know they're on the way -- I just don't want to miss the guy and have to play delivery tag all week long. If he's here by 12:30 I'm good, if not I don't know.
