NorCal 7 Poker Run!!!!
When: Saturday September 16th start time 1pm
Where: Starting in Lincoln and ending in Roseville
Why: To have a driving based meet and for a couple of people to win some money!
There is an entrance fee of $20 for this event! (See below for details)
Alright, we have all mentioned that we wanted a meet where driving was involved. Well now we are having one. This will be a poker run starting in Lincoln then heading up the nice twisty mountain roads to Auburn and back down into Roseville where we will hang out, eat, and decide the winner of the poker run. This is not a timed event so don't worry about who finishes first!
If you don't know how a poker run works I'll explain. Everyone that wants to play pays their entry fee and recieves 1 card at the starting point. From there we will have 3 stations set up at various points along the way where you will stop and receive another card. You'll receive your final card at the end point. Once everyone is at the end point then we'll see who has the best 5 card poker hand. The top 3 people will get paid out of the entrance fees. So hopefully everyone will come out and have a great time. There has been a lot of time and effort put into this already. We started planning it at the beginning of August. Special thanks go out to Evan (Racerrex90) for mapping out the course. It's a GREAT drive and I think that everyone will really enjoy it.
And if there are a few of you that don't mind helping, we will need some volunteers to sit at the check points and hand out cards. This means that you won't be able to win any money, but you won't have to pay an entrance fee either. So if you don't mind helping out then let me know. I need at least 3 volunteers please.

Mark, I wanted to make the entrance fee $20 but I know that a lot of the NorCal 7 people are low on cash these days. So it's a $10 entrance fee with lower cash prizes. If everyone is cool with $20 then speak up!! The amount of money you can win will be bigger.

Ok, so $20 entrance fee now and that will make the top 3 people much happier. Plus this way I can dish out a bit of money to my station workers like Icemark suggested. And no Gabe, it won't be $5 from every person to you.
But I'll take $5 from everyone's entrance fee and then divide that up evenly between the station workers as my way of saying thanks for working instead of driving. Keep in mind that station workers will need to arrive a little earlier than everyone else so we can get you to your station and get you set up.

Yes Brody, you can run in your RSX if the FC isn't finished. Most all of us have had to show up to a meet in our daily driver because of the 7 not running. It's not that big of a deal. So if you want to take part in the poker run in your Honda then that's fine with us.

Alright, we have all mentioned that we wanted a meet where driving was involved. Well now we are having one. This will be a poker run starting in Lincoln then heading up the nice twisty mountain roads to Auburn and back down into Roseville where we will hang out, eat, and decide the winner of the poker run. This is not a timed event so don't worry about who finishes first!
If you don't know how a poker run works I'll explain. Everyone that wants to play pays their entry fee and recieves 1 card at the starting point. From there we will have 3 stations set up at various points along the way where you will stop and receive another card. You'll receive your final card at the end point. Once everyone is at the end point then we'll see who has the best 5 card poker hand. The top 3 people will get paid out of the entrance fees. So hopefully everyone will come out and have a great time. There has been a lot of time and effort put into this already. We started planning it at the beginning of August. Special thanks go out to Evan (Racerrex90) for mapping out the course. It's a GREAT drive and I think that everyone will really enjoy it.
And if there are a few of you that don't mind helping, we will need some volunteers to sit at the check points and hand out cards. This means that you won't be able to win any money, but you won't have to pay an entrance fee either. So if you don't mind helping out then let me know. I need at least 3 volunteers please.

Yes Brody, you can run in your RSX if the FC isn't finished. Most all of us have had to show up to a meet in our daily driver because of the 7 not running. It's not that big of a deal.
So if you want to take part in the poker run in your Honda then that's fine with us.Zach
