no ticket help needed!
So a couple of months ago I got a speeding ticket on my way to work. It was some bullshit 15 mph over the speed limit one, but a $200 ticket still. Im almost positive he saw my Florida plates and figured I was an easy hit. Anyways... I went to the courthouse, paid the fine, and asked for a trial by declaration. Which I received, no hassles or lines may I add which is a surprise at the Pasadena courthouse. Being a busy time for me since I work fulltime and go to school fulltime and it happened to be finals week, I totally forgot to fill out the form, and by the time I realized it was already too late. So I figured I might as well forget about it and let them keep my 3-4 tanks of gas that money would have bought me. Today I received a letter in the mail saying it was dismissed. Maybe its my luck, or the poor system used by the court. But I think I used up my last get out of jail free card.

don't trust them... 6 months from now you'll probably see it on your record.
i went to court to fight a ticket and won once, but they still put the ****** on my record.

Keep a zerox copy in the car. Keep the original at home. You may need it for insurance. Sounds like hte cop got the trial by decleration papers but didn't fill them out either. I went to court a few weeks ago ready to fight but the copy didn't show. I'm waiting for my money. I think they said 4-6 weeks, which "really" means two months.
