needs help!

i was driving my 7 to my home town... on the way here the radiator sprung a leak... half-way here the car over headed and died on me... and now it wont start

im new the mazda engines so i dont really know where to start... i check all the basics like spark plugs, wires, ect...

but it wont start... need help....

All I can tell you is how mine worked for a little bit. You have probably blow a seal. When mine overheated I had to take out a sparkplug get a turkey baster and some ATF and squirt it in the engine. That allowed me to run the car until it fluided again. To check if you have a blown seal check and see if the radiator fluid is going down.

How long did you drive it when the temperature guage first indicated it was running hotter than normal?

Well put...the longer you drove it without taking notice to the gauge only impacted more damage on the motor...

so what the verdict...

naw maybe a little less... the only gas station for miles was coming up so i was going to pull over to check the oil and see how she was running... the light came on about a minute or so away from the gas station... drove it there and it died as i was slowing down...

im going to save you some trouble, take your car to a shop that is familiar with the rotary engine (your engine), and tell them exactly what you told us.

the car is located at my parents house just parked for now. it has about 180 miles on it. im going to work on it myself. i have my daily driver so my 7 is just my project car for now...
