needs help!

i was driving my 7 to my home town... on the way here the radiator sprung a leak... half-way here the car over headed and died on me... and now it wont start

im new the mazda engines so i dont really know where to start... i check all the basics like spark plugs, wires, ect...

but it wont start... need help....

trdmtrs86 03-29-08 08:02 PM

so no one can help me???

Miaka 03-29-08 11:16 PM

All I can tell you is how mine worked for a little bit. You have probably blow a seal. When mine overheated I had to take out a sparkplug get a turkey baster and some ATF and squirt it in the engine. That allowed me to run the car until it fluided again. To check if you have a blown seal check and see if the radiator fluid is going down.

It was never meant to be.

teddyrx2 04-03-08 01:15 AM

man hate to say it but it might have over heated long enough to do some damage to the car...

grimple1 04-03-08 01:43 PM

do you know just how hot it got before it died?

HOZZMANRX7 04-03-08 02:05 PM

Let me ask the obvious question.

How long did you drive it when the temperature guage first indicated it was running hotter than normal?

teddyrx2 04-03-08 02:08 PM

Well put...the longer you drove it without taking notice to the gauge only impacted more damage on the motor...

so what the verdict...

KeloidJonesJr. 04-03-08 02:08 PM

Get a new thermostaters.

not to long... i would say about 200 yards...

Delicious 04-07-08 12:21 AM

exactly 200 yards???

iLikeEatPoo 04-07-08 10:19 AM

now here is the good question. Would you have kept driving if it didn't die.

teddyrx2 04-07-08 11:13 AM

yeah thats what i want to know...LOL

naw maybe a little less... the only gas station for miles was coming up so i was going to pull over to check the oil and see how she was running... the light came on about a minute or so away from the gas station... drove it there and it died as i was slowing down...

mothy 04-08-08 08:49 PM

im going to save you some trouble, take your car to a shop that is familiar with the rotary engine (your engine), and tell them exactly what you told us.

socalrotor 04-08-08 09:27 PM

Where is the car located now? How many miles on the motor? Where EXACTLY was the temp needle at the hottest?
