Best bet is to buy a low mileage one off someone so you have no down time. Then I'm sure you can sell your turbo as a core to someone. If not you can always send it to BNR for a rebuild or even a small upgrade while hes at it.

I use to send my turbos to Turbocity in Orange:

I'm not too use if they still do RX7 turbos. Give them a call.

Old thread, but I called Turbocity yesterday. They said they no longer work on RX-7 turbos. FYI.

hi,

I rebuild rx7 turbos. I rebuild stock hitachi rx7 t2 turbos for only $180 with brand new internals! Ive done many rebuilds on the ht18 hitachi fc turbo. I also offer wastegate porting, and t04b compressor upgrades. Turnaround time is one day.

What he said. That's an important part. I can't find any damn places that balance locally...found one but the smallest turbos they do are off of diesel trains!

Heh, this rx7 is staying smog legal looking. And I'm keeping the stock top mount lol. The biggest turbo that would go in this thing is a BNR stage 1 and that's only if I found one at a killer deal.

I'm having comp turbo do my twins right now. I've heard a few good things about them and for reliability and peace of mind, I'd rather have them built than to buy another used set. I'll post pics of the work when I get them back if anyone is interested.
