Mikey, have you looked at the map of the Idyllwild road? BTW, you go from 1000ft to 6000+ft quickly.
JT yo make it happen and start a thread for July 26th and lets start spreading the word...Takes pics and post the address...

It's just a long **** drive at 2 hours to get up there. Not that bad if you blast up the way that we came back but that only works for us "livin out in the sticks" Ramona hicks.
Yep.
Part of what made Idyllwild technical was that we were on 3 different types of surfaces (old smooth asphalt, brand new rock gravel asphalt, and new smooth asphalt). Very different handling characteristics at the limit for each one.
That was a lot of fun ripping up so many different surfaces. I don't think it would be as kind to an FD, being prone to oversteer in loose conditions.
One thing that Archie probably didn't illustrate very well was the difference in traffic. It was pretty damn packed up there. I'd recommend going during the week or late on Sunday just because of traffic up there.
The one downfall is that it's a big tourist destination, so traffic is quite a bit more. Our trip back up Idyllwild was much quicker and more high speed.

The first thing he needs to do is get a COBB AP like me. There were some issues with the stock tuning map and bucking/hesitation. That would be cool if he did though.

LOL
You didn't have this much hate the other night my friend. Teddy can attest to that! No, as I said; my first love is the FD. I'm actually ordering a new fuel pump as we speak.

My plans are as such. I am planning on it for next year, I have already looked into the import duty and have someone in mind for the Mexican broker in Ensenada. Key point is that Mexico only allows up to a certain year model and make. This will be my project for 2009 summer of!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick lesson: Major automakers spend Billions of dollar en Mexico in order to ensure their fair market share of new car customers. In return for revenues paid out by automakers to Mexico, The government does not allow New Vehicles to be imported or driven by Mexican nationals. Answer= up to 2002 is allowed
