Dang. Thats like new price. I Have been trying to find them online but the site is under construction. i would havle liked to speak to Nelson to see what kind of ecu he is most familiar with and see if i can gear my guild around that.
you can find a used pfc in the for sale sections for $500-700 used, the banzai adapter is another $275 from banzai racing. if it comes with the hand controller and datalogit then that is a fair price(another $400, slightly less used).
Sweet. What systems are you most familiar with when it comes to dyno tunning? Is the pfc smarter than the power fc? Ive heard that there are some systems that can adjust on the fly if something unforseen happens while you drive.
motech is similar to an OBD2 equipped vehicle and i believe was one of the first auto adjusting engine management systems that used wideband inputs to adjust fuel curves, but they are rather expensive ECUs.
powerFC= pfc, it's just a shortened term
i'm most familiar with PowerFC, microtech and Rtek 2.0/2.1 boxes, but soon will have some hands on experience with haltech, finally.

I was looking at motec last night. The M2R sounds pretty good. i was just checking out microtech right now too. They arent as expensive as Motec or haltek. ANyone mess with those? Microtech i mean.
Cons:
No save to disk
16x16 maps
2d timing maps
Poor customer service
Not enough inputs/outputs
Have to send it back to Aus to get ANYTHING changed on it
LT8-s have the BAC control as an option - not standard (important if you have a/c or want easy idle control)
I'm going to a Platinum 2000 for my next setup.
Microtech's rock solid reliable, and it's what I run in my car - but don't expect it to have all the bells and whistles the competitors have.
