I claim to have bruises around my ribs. I must be superhuman to be able to use a computer with injuries like that

i'm curious...
exactly what do you think you're entitled to, if you got some claim from his home owners insurance.

what do you want? what do you think is fair for you to receive?

That's a good question. I honestly don't know what is fair. I am going to wait until I have completely healed, and then discuss it with them. If the injury heals quickly, then I won't expect much.

i don't understand why people hide behind semantic legal bullshit. if the guy was sorry, forgive him and don't try to milk him for money.

if he wasn't sorry, kick the **** out of him and be done with it.

the only thing you deserve is an apology and a couple beers.

If I beat him up, then I go to jail. Then he sues me. Get a clue. Only a complete moron would do that. Is that what you would have done ?

Seems you can't make up your mind. First you say you will beat him up if he isn't sorry. Now you want to have a beer with him. Which is it??

The guy appeared to be in his late 50's. I really don't think a fight would have been very smart. Of course, you probably didn't even consider that.

BTW, your childish name calling shows everyone your lack of intelligence.

Well, it looks like this thread has been blown to hell and back.
Lets see, " Solve violence with Violence". Not too sure that one works.
Remember once you have to sort to violence, you have already lost.
Apology and a few beers? Well, i believe that half of the equation could be right. the apology part that is.
I see that we have alot of "Tough Guys" out there.
Technically the guy could be charged with assault, if you don't believe that. Check with your local law enforcement.
You guys are defending someone that intentionally sent that ball flying before he was supposed to. He was probably laughing as it went and then went oh **** it might hit someone.
What if it would of hit someone in the eye and blinded them for life?
Now, I am not saying I agree with filing a claim with his insurance.
Personally at the time he came up and apologized. I would of asked him if i need to go to the doctors, are you willing to pay for medical bills?
If he would of agreed to that and I had to go to the doctors i would of been done with that.
But, because all of you that posted that he is a ***** must be tough guys and bruise on the inside, lol.
Everyone feels pain in different ways. I've seen guys that looked like they could be hit by
Arnold and would have just laughed get hit and fall to the ground like play-dough. And others that look like the wind would blow them over take continuall hits and act like they
enjoyed it.
So for all you that are judging someones dis-comfort or pain. Wait till you walk in that persons shoes for a mile.
Just my 2 sense on the subject.

c'mon doc. i flipped 3x in my buddy's integra and did get minor lacerations and bruises and i wasn't no punk ***** *** bitch about it. i could've filed for medical bills assuming that i went to the hospital during the accident, but i did not. i was actually more considerate regarding the situation.

and please, lots of people get in pain and even die due to it out there everyday. this one shouldn't be considered one. try living in compton or any shackled area (africa, central america and such) in the world and you tell me which pain actually matters.

keyword here is: "consideration" (on an entirely different level if you catch what i mean)

I just got off the phone with my good friend who is a city police officer and he said there is no way that this could be considerd a assualt. His exact word were the judge would laugh you out of court. He, like I, said that by playing the game you are also assuming all liabillity for any injurys that occur to you while playing said game.

And as far as I am concerned if your feet were off the green then you are off the feild and I would have hit as well.

Looking at those pictures you posted, it was a nasty one. I am glad that no-one was killed
in that crash.
You talk about consideration. Was your friend being considerate at the time he did something stupid. You stated that it was his stupidity that caused the wreck. Lets say you had to go to the hospital because you had broken bones or cuts that needed stiching. Would it be fair to hold your friend accountable because "HE" caused the injuries?
When we are younger, we have this mind set that we are invinciable. Come on guys, you all know what i mean. We get cut or in accidents and we think nothing can touch us.
When we age, hopefully we get wiser and the tough guy crap doesn't seem so important to most of us.
Do Luck, during all the time you were in discomfort due to your friends stupidity. Ask yourself this question. What would you now give not to go thru all that discomfort? I know most of us afterwards would go, Hell I would give alot not to have to go thru that crap!
What if the other innocent passenger had died because of your friends carelessness?
Like I stated I would not be after Adam's ball hitter for anything more than medical bills if i
had to go to the Doctor.
With me, it's a matter of being held accountable for our actions.
The guy that hit the golf ball made a mistake and knew at the time he was making it.
Thankfully no one was seriouslly injured. But it's not always like that in life. Many times
a so-called mistake costs someone their life.
As is i stated , A sincere apology and offer to pay any medical bills would suffice for me.
I really don't think Adam really is looking more than that.

yelling "FORE" on a golf course releases one from liability. Hitting the green on a par 3 is great, but not when someone else is just getting off the green. However, it is completely not common for the person who got hit to seek medical attention afterwards. Good luck on your medical bills. I hope you don't get stuck with them after everything is said and done. Do not become belligerent if your expenses do not get reimbursed. You may seek legal council in the event that you find yourself dissatisfied with the outcome, however, to receive possibly 10 to 15 times your medical expenses (in this case, co-pays), you will find that your legal-assistance will cost you far more.

Give it a go though, I'd like to see you pull out of this one with your dignity and wallet intact.
