Heard of Church Automotive Tuning?

His name is Shawn Church. They are located in So Cal. He is a well known tuner for Honda's. My cousin praised this guy like he's the best tuner in California. Shawn Church states Power FC is what he touches everyday and is very familiar with that ECU. He also claimed that he can tune RX-7, FD's, Rotary whatever.

My cousin came back with his Miata and pulled very impressive power and torque.
Just wanted to see if any of you guys heard of this guy? and if anyone had their rx7 tune by him?

Thanks

We have used him on a number of project cars for SportsCar magazine - recently an RX-8 with a COBB unit and an MX-5 with a Mega Squirt - Shawn really knows his stuff. His shop did over 1500 cars last year.

Tuning a turbo rotary is a whole different thing from an NA rotary or a turbo piston car. No room for error or "backing off when it starts pinging".

Talk to the guy... He is not some garage rat that bought a dyno and calls himself a tuner to bring in more revenue. He has multiple engineering degrees, and even if you know what you talking about, he knows more. I don't believe there is a system out there he has not worked with.

We can go to pretty much any shop we want when we are working on something for publication, when we were doing a project with my personal car, I went to him.

Shawn is an excellent tuner and really stands by/takes care of his customers. Also offers great pricing. He can and does tune FD RX7's. There are a few videos online of him tuning a RED FD I believe.

09 thread brought back to life.... haha.

I'm not doubting this Church guy skills at all, but there just wasn't enough info or vouch for him back then,.... Luckily Ben was still around in Calif so I had him did an awesome tune on it.
