I don't think you can if the car was available for sale. But there are many loopholes and hangups... Since the Shelby Cobra 427 was for sale at some point by Carol Shelby, yet now that there are replicas, they are allowed to get the specially built smog exempt title, because they're kit cars. So I suppose if you tried to build a Cosmo, as a Kit car you could do it ?

I know that there are only 100 of these licenses given out on Jan 1'st (for the year), and there are certain DMV's that know how to issue them, and open early on Jan 1'st. But there's typically a long line, not that that's news at the DMV, but it when people camp out overnight...

 

Don't worry about that **** when we have WackyPappy. He could issue Certificate of Sequence too.

 

The best way to get a Certificate of Sequence is to make a appt at the DMV for Jan 2nd, about 60 days before Jan 2nd, just keep on make and cancel your appt until Jan. 2nd, that how I did it, get the forms early and already filled out.
