Ok i had to vent on this whole JDM thing! Everytime i go on ebay or to a Rx7 meet people always want JDM parts. Which i don't mind......except the parts they want are in fact normal Rx7 parts. I saw a guy on ebay today sell the almost complete setup for Ry Takahashi's RX7 (FC). Which included a front lip, sidemirrors, hood TII, and side skirts TII. Sadly the guy swore up and down that he got his info from the MANGA!!! :smiley_12

 

Almost every pair of S5 taillights I see on ebay say JDM in the title... When I was in the market for a pair I used to ask the seller if they came off of a Japanese car and what makes them different from the USDM lights. They never responded.

 

Yeah me too then i found out that hey theyre NOT jdm! so im much wiser about the JDM parts i buy now which would be a gauge cluster or FTP lens

 

98% of the time people that spend the extra money for "JDM parts" just want to be able to say that they have them. There is typically no reason or advantage to having them. Just my .02 anyway.

 

yeah but what happens to the 98% of people that get told "hey your JDM is really USDM"?

 

there is an advantage : junkyard cruisers like me make a killing!!
