DP installation help in the sacramento area, beer and pizza provided
So I live in Davis and I need help installing a dp. I only shops I trust around here will not do it for me because it removes the precat.
So yeah, I have tools, jack, jackstand...and pizza and beer. Any help would be appreciated, so hit me up.
thanks!

Well, i dont mind doing it myself, I just wish I had a lift of some sort so I can actually see the stuff under my car. I tried the DP install the other week, and failed cuz I was feeling around for screws and stuff so I just gave up. Perhaps I need higher jackstands

It's pretty simple once you get started. Once you pull out all the heat sheilds it's pretty self explanatory from there. A standard 3-ton floor jack is more than enough. Just jack up the car righ behind the passenger front tire and support with a jack stand. Trust me! start removing the heat sheilds then take another look. Good luck, Dan
Oh yeah...and be carefull of the DP studs in the manifold, They tend to "break off". If that happens, do a search on "broken studs"

Yeah i did look around the forums, and im aware of the studs breaking. Also, dp install didnt seem too bad til i looked under there and couldnt see anything.
I'm already stocked with some pb blaster and I shall try it out next week sometime. Help is still appreciated tho, if anyone wants to come out to davis. If you dont like pizza, we can make it sushi and beer.
