Close call Damon. I have yet to popped for anything, but I know its coming. I still don't want to block my FMIC with my license plate...

damn that sucks Jp.... I would just pay off the ticket when it comes in mail especially if you dont think you can pass smog. Thats what most of us did when we got poped at 7th street a couple months back.

paying off the ticket is the best bang for the buck instead of going back to stock to pass ref...

So if you have tinted tails (like I do), just go to Pep Boys and buy a couple of those red reflector license plate nuts and mount them. You are THEN technically legal which is all you need to be to get that part of the ticket signed off. If you have S5 tails, just be careful NOT to also tint the red reflectors imbedded at the bottom of the tail light assembly so you remain legal. That is the only reason I put S5 tails on my S4 TurboVert.
FDs have the necessary red reflectors built into the reverse lamp assembly.

I don't know how a cop can honestly give you a tinted tails ticket in an FD... It's so clear where they're painted around the edges and that the lens isn't tinted at all.

i got my ticket in the mail today and I have to pay $499.75 or reduced bail of $388.50 with proof-of-correction. I guess this fine includes the no licence plate.
