lol...Its not like Im looking for any sponsors or anything. Just mentioned it because there might be vendors and booths and what not. kinda like sevenstock but on a smaller scale. haha. But then again, i certainly do like driving my car more than looking at them.

that makes more sense. well, if i had a sponsor, that'd be awesome.. I pretend I have a Falken tires sponsor. You'll know what I mean when you see my car... lol

Santa Cruz isn't all it's hyped up to be in my opinion, then again the boardwalk's ok. Cool if you're from somewhere else, but boring to somebody who's lived in the area since they were three. But hell, it would be fun for somebody else, I got burnt out on it by kindergarten. LOL

The 510 meet at Shadow Cliffs is badass. Last year there were at least 150 cars, of every make. I'm trying to get Marcus in his LS1 510 to make the trip, me and my buddy are already doing a caravan to there.

Well, depending on how old you are, living here since you were 3 could be anywhere from 3 to 60 years o.O maybe even 13 years :o
But i've been here my whole life, so roughly 18 years, but if you actually go on the rides, there are a few things to consider, or compare to somewhere like Great America
Actually I'll just say it

Great America, you gotta pay to get into there, then you can do whatever and choose to pay for food and those extra attractions

The Boardwalk, its free to get in.... But that results in buying tickets for getting on rides, excluding those extra attractions, of course.

Personally, if you were planning to ride some rides at the SCBB, I'd wait for Mondays and Tuesdays in the summer cuz every ride after 5 pm is only 1 ticket and Pepsi and hot dogs are only a dollar each.

so yeah, just saying in case you dont know much about Santa Cruz, as I'm only over the mountain away, haha

haha yeah. thats a win win for sure. although they got some rules, and if you break them, then they magically ban you, as in, you can still go, but they'll just ignore you? they cant stop you from cruising haha. for example, "swerving left to right on the freeway would just get everyone pulled over".. the misconception there is "everyone". the cop will only pull over the person being an idiot, not everyone..

anyways, has the meet time at D&B been set to anything? it feels like me and matt have been threadjacking this thread, woops :/ regardless, i'm probly getting off early at 1, so i'll just go there and whoever comes, comes.. otherwise, i'll do it alone.. and come back and show off pics

I'm 19, almost 20. I'm not an ocean guy at all in case you can't tell. I was born in Austin, MN back in the day...

The problem I have with Santa Cruz is that it's crowded, dirty, the crime is a lot higher than you think, drugged out bozo's, homeless people, locals are wierd. UCSC students bug me. People try to talk to you about nothing on the streets, and are generally annoying. Where I am in Boulder Creek, people are cool, laid-back, and they do their own thing. You can do most anything up here and there's every kind of group of people. Rednecks, white trash, average class, hippies, blue-collar, white-collar, lower class, to name a few.

Didn't mean to rant, but coming from a normal town to this place and then going back there to visit is a complete culture shock. My bad if I come across as a grump, lol

lol nah man, i completely agree with you. I dont even have a beach body and could care less about tanning.. im in it for the cruise and vids and stuff. i might take off my ricey bumper decals by then. idk if i should leave them on by the marth 6th cruise.. you guys can get a laugh out of it. I forgot why i did it. it started with the rear window, then i got obsessive. haha

but its because Santa Cruz is a big tourist attraction unfortunately. but i do enjoy the boardwalk with my sister and her kids when I was younger. i dont have very much time for anything anymore, and i work every monday till midnight. oh well

Yeah so have we settled on a time for the d&b meet?.

On another side note. I heard a dirty rumor that i might get shift changed next week which may affect my ability to go on the 6th. Lets just hope that it stays a rumor. Lol

My schedule is set for the year. So the only times i would not get days off that are scheduled are if i work overtime, or i get shift changed (thus making my days off for the rest of the year different) in this case, they might be reducing my department from a 2 man job to a 1 man job and my seniority would put me in the crosshairs for a shift change since im higher up in senuority.

dude thats pretty lame. and yeah, im in the same boat, i like this set schedule. unless something happens, then whatever, i usually just work overtime. although if my boss ever retires soon... whoever takes his spot will see how lazy 2 of my co workers are and they probably wont be here too long. i cant even describe the level of their laziness.. its too high.

btw no snow here, people just exaggerating and *wanting* it to snow here. better now, i got work in 5 hours till midnight. haha

Let's get back on track gentlemen...

March 6th? DnBs then Calaveras?

If I read it right I think that's what's happening, there was so much banter and bs inbetween, so if someone can clarify in one post that'd be awesome so I can show up at a meet full in my leaky vert and avoid driving off of cliffs.......................... again. Can't wait!

Yeah d&b on the 6th, i am not sure if we settled on a time yet though i think 3ish was the general consensus.

Also, is this a rain or shine no matter what or is this weather permitting type if thing? Just wanna get that part clarified as well.

you drove off a cliff? :O
Will Mike come as well?

If we make this shine only, some people will speculate and not come cuz they might melt.. Or something. And if we postpone, then those of us that took some time off for that day would be wasted, then we'd have to plan another month in advance, etc.. You get the point.

Yeah i just wanted to make sure so that way if it was raining and i drove the 80+ miles to the meet and no one showed up because of rain, that would kinda suck. lol

Thats 13 if you exclude me being there twice, or 14 if funkjaw does come

The one problem is that I dont have anyone's number, so whoever comes comes. Don't know who will be there for sure, probably will find out a few days before then, as some may be lurking the threads, who knows. What I do know is that I will forsure be there, Matt seems pretty confident in being there, unless work becomes an issue. Just depends.

But whether its 14 people, or just myself, I'm checking out this road.. And I'll take pics and post them on this thread haha

btw, the Chevron by my house was like $3.99 the other day..
and just now I saw this station (Kwik serv), it was $4.09..
so assuming you use premium gas.. Then fill up the spare gas cans.
If you dont use premium gas, then... your engine is going to blow up
