Yeah i bought the correct radiator cap assembly and now that the system holds pressure my water pump is leaking. Im hoping that the gasket is just bad or something. Its not siezed up or anything just leaks from the bottom after i turn the car off. So far operating temps have stayed the same though so the car isnt overheating (thankyoujesus). Lol

D: dude get that fixed. if its the original water pump... maybe you can start with the seal first? thats what happened with mine.. the timing chain got worn, so it spun the pump cockeyed, thus tearing just enough of the gasket off to dump coolant into the oil, mixing the oil with coolant, leading to whatever it did to the engine.

Yeah i plan to on my next day off teusday or wednesday. I think the water is coming from the weep hole or by the pulley shaft. So that means its probably not a seal. (i think) luckily water pumps arent very expensive and should have the cat back in tip top shape by thursday

lololol. Well I'd give you a hand, but you had to go off and live in Modesto.. oh and you're lucky Mazda didnt put the water pump inside the engine like chrysler did
although with a rotary, that's virtually impossible..

long story short, my dad was able to completely rebuild the front (passenger side) of my engine, and that lasted a little over 300 miles... then i was an idiot and went over 100 mph on the freeway and came off at my exit and got off and my engine started making a knocking sound near the top by the intake manifold..

1 month later i ended up going from a V6 to a Wankel

Oh and they're way too quiet

Just sayin.
Loud pipes save lives, I have that sticker on my Bronco II. Priuses I hate, and the drivers are the worst. They think they're "holier than thou" because they drive a fuel efficient car.

I hate CA and it's gas prices. Thanks CARB, you ***********

Its funny, they're talking about making priuses louder for the blind people and stuff because they're too quiet.. After they said they were too noisy?? oh the irony. At work, Im at a very high end school, which some days I do traffic, and all these asians/indians/rich ppl, etc. feel they have to fit in or something, because they'll have brand new BMWs, Mercedes, stupid Priuses, Range Rovers, Porches, etc.. you get the point.. Anyways, they treat it like garbage! The only way in/out of the school, theres a huge dip that has to be taken slow with low cars.. Man these people take it easily at 25 mph.. They scrape so hard, even without fat people in them.. Just dont buy one of these cars from them.. Not taken care of the same way as someone with barely enough money owning one. No respect...
anyways /end rant
oh and one time when they came back from Christmas break, someone got that new 4-door porche car.. the Panamera.. the parent was trying to open the trunk, but she pressed the spoiler button. they dont even learn the car before they drive it.. funny stuff.

haha, $4/Gal gas here we come. Its up to $3.70 most places now, isnt it?

**** thats why i try to drive my 7 everywhere and let my wife drive my yukon. She drives a lot less than i do, and while the 7 isnt a TON better than the yukon, its better than 14ish city/19 highway.

Yeah plus track fees, the extra tire wear and gas money and the time to drive all the way there and back. Just not worth it for me with a stock n/a fc. Lol

From reading that, i think the guy thinks that we are going to be racing.each other out on calaveras and stuff. Which isnt the case.

and i explained that pretty much in my thread for this thread over there.. personally, i just want a cruise on a nice amazing day and take some pics of scenery as well as take it in

and after seeing videos of calaveras rd, hell no on racing up there, you'll go flying off the cliff and take some bicycles out as well

oh and my underpowered stock 8 would just be laughed at as everyone flies by me.. its like taking a 100hp car in Gran Turismo into a 300hp race lol.

Hopefully.. Some people arent blessed with PTO like myself.. some people really struggle around here. And I'd invite my friend too, but I think he'd purposely run us all off the road

I invited a couple friends, but alas theyre idiots and/or broke. One lost his license due to unpaid tickets, blah blah blah. Lol

I might go over to my "old stomping ground" on hybridz.org and spead the word and see if any bay area datsun guys are interested.

That may not be a great day for a cruise seeing as the 2nd annual japanese classic car meet is on the 24th and I think people will have that as more of a priority seeing as its a getting to be a bigger meet with vendors and sponsors and what not.

Yeah me and my buddy are getting to the cruise in Pleasanton on the 23rd. What's this cruise about from Mountain View to SC?? Chances are it goes right by my house, I live right next to Highway 9.

When I go over the hill I get to take Bear Creek in the car. Fun stuff. If I go to Palo Alto, I take Highway 9 to 35, lots of fun there....
