just received checks from D. Preece and GT-C. Shortfuse, no dice. Just show up saturday with the full amount, you have a spot cause you've already contacted me about this.

1funr1- I think we'll have room but you'll probably be on Sunday coming so late. If you can get the check out saturday, monday morning at the lastest i should get it by wed. if not, you can be a standby on sunday

I need a recommendation for plugs.. if Steve has an idea, or anyone else.. I'd like to know.

Here are the mods:

-T51r KAI Turbo
-850/1680cc
-Cosmo TT Fuel Pump
-HKS Twin Power w/Stock Coils
-Medium Street Port
-Premix
-Methanol Injection at 8psi and up (increases as boost increases)

Would like to tune for 23psi on pump/methanol, and 15psi on pump only.

Not sure which plugs I should use.

Leading: B10EGV (gap at .022), Trailing: BUR9EQP
or
B105EGV, or B11EGV (leading)

Or if I should just go NGK R6725-110.

If Steve can chime in and let me know what he recommends that would be great. Trying to get around 515hp at 23psi.

Also, it's daily driven.. so I need a plug that will handle the power and won't foul too quickly.

Need to know so I can put them in and get the thin wall socket before the weekend.

I'd try to use just 10's all the way around to begin with to see if that is enough.
Have a set of 11's on hand though.

Unfortunately, there's really no such thing on choosing the right plugs w/o fouling. The only way I could think of is using very strong ignition amp. However, your plugs won't last as long so it really doesn't matter.

To give you an idea, I used to bring 20 sets of spark plugs (80 plugs), to drag racing with me. That's about $2500 on just plugs alone. I changed them after each run at the track. This is the only way I could get optimum performance.

On the dyno, I have seen as much as 20rwhp loss after about 10 pulls on the dyno.

If it was me, I would get at least 10.5's and 11's just in case you'll need them. But don't expect them to last for a few thousand miles.

I usually recommended to at least pull the plugs out for inspection every 500 miles and clean them if needed to get the optimium performance. I also recommended changing them at least 3000 miles.

just my .02

So that is where all the money for tuning goes... SPARK PLUGS!

LOL

But seriously.. I think I'll find out this weekend for tuning.

I have 2 B10EGV's, 2 B11EGV's, 4 BUR9EQP's and 2 HKS 10.5's and 2 HKS 11's.

Hopefully the B10EGV's will take it.. if not we'll try then 11's - if all else fails.. in go the HKS plugs.

Hey guys, I purchased a Power fc and commander for the tunning session, when I went to go get it installed they said a boost controller would be a good idea. I was under the impressions that the power fc had a built in boost controler, but its actually a seaprate kit for $300+. So my question is do I need a boost controller for the tunning? Does steve bring a manual boost controller and tune it? That way he can tune it to a certain boost then I can buy a boost controller and set it to the boost at which it was tuned. Anyone know how the tunning session works?

Whoa Whoa Whoa... Friday? I'll just show up around 9am.

I thought I was on saturday.

What time on Friday? I'll put in for the day off today... and let you know. It should be alright but if it changes I'll need to swap with someone.

I'll know after work and i'll post.

My bad. dhalen can get pushed to Saturday morning (let me know). Slot open for friday if anyone wants it. As far as times, we start at 9. expect about 2 hours per tune. Check your slot and plan to be at LEAST a half hour early. e.g. If you are third, show up sometime between 12-12:30. It is definitely better to bet on the safe side. Some may run long, some may run short, just plan ahead.

Revised Schedule:

Here's the schedule:

Friday
1) Rx-heven
2) Soul77
3) RuffRyder
4)

Saturday
1) DHalen
2) BFGRX7
3) 209FD
4) Shortfuse
5) Slopoke03

Sunday
1) GT-C
2) ImranRx-7
3) All Stragglers

My Friday morning spot is available. I talked to Steve and we will be street tuning my car Thursday night after he arrives. That way I can get on the road again to head home with some time to spare and prepare for the race weekend.

Saturday is best for me, I'll keep that spot in the AM. I just gotta get there early so i can swap plugs.

Also, I need my map adjusted for my idle speed controller. I hooked it up and it doesn't like it at all, lol. I'll discuss all that with steve when we get there.

Hey guys i got pulled over today after work and now i have to go to state referee . what was gay was that i gave the officers all the carb paperwork and they wouldnt take it, they even said my polished stock manifold was illegal. I need to put some things back to "legal" status before i can legally drive my car on the street again and go to the ref so i guess i have to cancel my tuning appointment. If anyone wants it its theirs....hopefully i can get my deposit back.

sorry about that.. i had one of those too... but it doesnt mean you cant drive the car til its smog legal... u just have to fix it before that date.. or you can just pay it without fixing it. you will actually save money that way if its really modded

also, i get off at 3 pm on friday depending on the traffic, ill show up.. but ill try to be there sunday.. for the most part..

Thanks, Roman
