Technical article actually, not a bad read...writer seems knowledgeable but does have tendencies to carry on endlessly. Otherwise, it's cool knowing someone is interested enough to share the history of such a great year for mazda and it's awesome 787b.

Thanks for the article... were there more than one 787b during lemans? This part was pretty interesting...

I believe there were two, just like the 767B the previous year.

Thx. Thats a good question though, I dont want to give a noob answer so I'll find out first if mazda ran more than one 787.

But yeah, I thought that was pretty crazy, Weidler experienced hearing problems due to a mazda rotary. Ive heard Mad Mikes 4rotor, which sounds like a rev limiting F1 motor. Hope he's using some high quality ear plugs.
