http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...al0417ju10.jpg It felt really good reading this write up on the historic 787B, and so the complete story may be found here: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009...e-mans-24.aspx |
Great article, but the author's writing sucks.

Technical article actually, not a bad read...writer seems knowledgeable but does have tendencies to carry on endlessly. Otherwise, it's cool knowing someone is interested enough to share the history of such a great year for mazda and it's awesome 787b.

Thanks for the article... were there more than one 787b during lemans? This part was pretty interesting...
"Weidler was forced to retire from motorsport the following year with hearing problems caused by it was said the noise of the Mazda's engine." |

Thx. Thats a good question though, I dont want to give a noob answer so I'll find out first if mazda ran more than one 787.
But yeah, I thought that was pretty crazy, Weidler experienced hearing problems due to a mazda rotary. Ive heard Mad Mikes 4rotor, which sounds like a rev limiting F1 motor. Hope he's using some high quality ear plugs. |
interesting article the 787b is such an awesome racecar.
