Dampening Material??
Does anyone knows if the dampening material is worth putting in the car? I was thinking of using Dynamat, Rockford Fosgate, or some type of company that helps reduce the dB and rattling in my car. Any information on this type of material will be extremely helpful to me, because I have no clue about this topic.
Thanks,
Thanks,
If you want to save a little money check out the sound damping material at .www.mcmaster.com . It'll save you about 75% over dynamat and is virtually the same material. It can definitely make a big difference

Any info on the weight relationship between Dynamat, the stuff McMaster sells, and stock 1st gen crap?
I'm thinking of lightening my car a bit while still keeping some creature comforts.

If you don't have a sunroof, running a couple of panels of it across the roof is a night and day difference.
I always recommend it except if you want to go fast (because the stuff is heavy).
And it is all pretty much the same thing from one brand to another, just get the cheapest, and make sure you clean (with acetone) any surface you are going to put it on.

Does one or two layers make a difference in road and engine noise? Does it weigh more or less than stock?
