NEW Rotary Parts.....
**** happens. It sucks you have to deal with it but im saying fixing it is faster then getting a new radiator. And it will be cheaper as well. Shouldnt have to do it but you do so what other option is there but save as much money as possible.
-I'm perfectly willing to go get it modified....as soon as they refund me back what it will cost me to do it. Otherwise what's the point.
I've had nothing but good service from rotary works. I think you complain too much. If you thought about it, it is a bad spot for the heater hose, you could get a 2 inch section of piping and weld it up and be done with it. If you took it to a shop and told them your dilemma, they might give you a break since it's such an easy job. Instead you decided to rant about it on the forums.
You ordered a non oem part, you should expect to have to modify some things.

I understand the frustration on having some parts a bit off but EVERY racer in this industry needs to be more considerate of aftermarket parts manufactures and take a CHILL PILL!!
Making these parts are not a walk in the park, taking in account, overhead, taxes, RD, legalities and then having to sell it at a dirt cheap price..RELAX!!!!,,
Majority of aftermarket guys make these parts not as a get rich scam but to do something cool barely breaking even so please take this into consideration.

Their SS turbo manifold...you could not buy the flanges and tubing for the price you get it for..

i understand that to the fullest. im actually very satisfied with the total price and the bit of custom work just makes it even more of my own, i wasnt expecting a bolt on part either way. and glad to say its running fine carrying my heavy 74mm borg warner =D

^^ Exactly. Ovaling out a mounting hole, or tweaking a bracket a bit, I'm fine with. But cutting off and re-welding a primary outlet is just retarded. They still haven't resolved my issue by the way....

Clearly you two have never dealt with a reputable aftermarket company, or maybe any reputable company period. A product that is advertised as a drop in part should be just that. You should not have to modify anything. Especially not leaving enough room for a hose clamp? That is just poor poor quality and design. It should not be the customers responsibility to fix something that would have been so simple to do correctly from the manufacturer.
so any news on the FD Vmount Rotary-Works? Why not chime in and see your side of the story regarding the FC V-mount radiator outlet?
Hopefully this issue get resolved quickly as I saw alot of the Rotary-Work parts are great but I am hesistant to buy because of this current issue a couple of forum members having.

No pictures as of yet, but this is not a smooth install. The lack of instructions is painful, the screws are of the wrong length (too long), and the holes that have been drilled to not line up with the intended screw holes. I guess it reflects the low cost.
Also, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my relay box as their mount fills the space that used to be occupied by the relays. I'll take pictures when I get it installed.

However, I am sorely displeased with the lack of pictures of the kit installed. I just can't fathom how the radiator is mounted given the brackets provided. And the only picture is from above showing only the intercooler. If they aren't going to provide even cursory instructions they could at least show pictures of how they mounted the parts.
I got everything out today. By the time I was ready to mount the RW stuff I only had about an hour of day light left. Hopefully tomorrow it will be more obvious with a fresh brain.
What do you guys with large stock mounts or v-mounts do with the relay box?
I got it installed. It wasn't that bad once I figured it out. It is not at all a bolt in kit, but you don't need to own a shop to do it. I'll post a write up later.
Oh, and after I do, if Rotary-Works wants to send me a free throttle body that would be cool, seeing as how I am writing and posting instructions for one of their products that has the potential to sell well... :-D

Regardless of how bad the mounts are I wouldn't refer to it as a total disaster. It's literally half the price of other kits out there. I can grind some mounts, widen holes, and find properly sized screws.

So...ordered a FD elbow from RW and these are my thoughts.
Positive:
-Shipping was fast. Shipped same day as ordered (Monday) and arrived by Friday on the opposite coast.
-Price $99 + shipping was fair
-Design is clean and nice

-Did not see on their site where it said this elbow came tapped already for a Fast Reacting IAT or something else. If I wasn't planning on doing this, could have been a surprise.
Negative
-Piece arrived with minor scratches on the surface. Not horrible but should be noted.
-Threading...the tapped hole is poor and in my opinion the threads are going to have to be redone. Looks like a poor quality rush job.
-The inside of the piece is pretty rough in a few places
-Wasn't a fan of the packaging.
Overall impression? B-. Nice piece and fair price but the QC could be a little better in my opinion. Good thread and no surface scratches I would have said an A.

has anybody ordered his gilmer drive pulley kit? because if this is the case with his products not working or fitting properly and then he is being immature about responding to this thread i don't want order anything from him or the website...
well i guess ima have to show up to the shop, or just call then, cuz he an't going to post or make comments in this thread unless i go some where else with my question where i know he will answer...
I got the pulley kit today, the shipping was cool, but the way the item was packed was shitty as ****!!, and then looking at the product the final finish on the pulley's were shitty as hell...
In all honesty he/she pay for what they get, and in the end I should have just paid the extra money and went through mazdatrix or tweakit and got a better finished product even if the cost was slightly higher...
This is how i got the item packed up, a bull **** broken piece of foam LOL a box with tares and rips and holes in it, and then the three pulley's wrapped in small bubble under that huge crapy foam...nice huh?
