MN Injector Dynamics

For those that don't know, we are a stocking dealer, and have used/tuned these injectors with great results.

For the most popular application( single turbo third gens, stock primaries and ID2000 secondaries), we can supply a good PFC base map that we've done 500rwhp with.

Sure you can buy bosch 2200 cc injectors elsewhere, but you are not getting a matched set. Unless you are going to monitor and individually tune each rotor, this means you're tune will be off. Say one rotor is at 11.5 afr, and the other is 12afr, you're single o2 sensor will show 11.75 afr. Injectors never come matched from a manufacturer like bosch.

The ID2000s will make a world of difference over the older bosch 1680s( sometimes referred to as 1600cc also). Especially if you are running an Apexi PFC. These injectors are very linear, unlike the bosch 1680s; especially at low injector timing. Every wonder why a lot of people complain about tuning 1680cc injector transition? Its because the flow sometimes goes up and down as injector timing increases, not to mention they aren't matched from the factory( they never flow exactly 1680cc, sometimes more, sometimes less). The ID injectors do not require resistors, or an injector driver box, as they are high impedance. Running resistors will also guarantee you never have a proper tune. I've also seen some injector driver boxes fail, so skip that possibility, get a better tune, use the ID injectors.

ID2000s will get rid of then need for bigger primaries that most single turbo cars need when the boost gets turned up past 20~ish psi. The PFC doesn't like injector sizing above 550cc in the primaries anyhow. Sure you can get the car to run 850cc+ primaries on the PFC, but you will be throwing off the rest of your map, and correction maps with negative lag.

Since the ID injectors are also a matched set, and 30 years newer technology its much easier to get a nice idle on bigger primaries. I've seen E85 cars run ID2000s in the primaries.

We offer free shipping in the lower 48 states for Rx7club members too!

Injectors almost always ship within 1 business day too.

All ID injectors come with the connectors, and terminals to change your OEM wiring harness over. The ID2000s will plug right into S5/S6 cars.
There are plug and play wiring harness adapters that will plug into the FC3S/FD3S harness to convert to any style ID injectors @ an additional $15( instead of the terminals/connectors).

Below is the ID2000 adapter for the S4 FC3S( fits both n/a and T2).

Agreed. Got my ID2000's from Elliot and a safe PFC map.
Shipping was fast and Elliot has been kind enough to put up with my questions and constant calls and emails, haha.

Thanks again, Josh

Interested in how much power the following fuel setups can run:

1. Stock primaries and ID 2200s?
2. ID 750s primaries and ID 2200s secondaries?
3. ID 1000s primaries and ID 2200s secondaries?

Do you have PFC basemaps for options 2 and 3?

Thanks,

Andrew

Andrew,

I only have maps for stock primaries/id2000s secondaries on both stock map sensor and 3 bar. I have personally done 500rwhp/440rwtq with this combo @ 24psi with room to grow. Off the top of my head I think the 550/2200s on gasoline is enough for 600rwhp. Probably 650 for option 2 and 700rwhp for option 3. Going to take quite a lot of fuel pump for option 2/3..

Either works just fine. I like to keep things simple and just run the two ID2000s.

Tony, 2k primaries run very close to the non linear range of the injector depending on porting, fuel (e85..), base pressure, idle speed etc, but many do it with no issues. (rxtasy57 has been doing it for years on a Haltech)

Yes. I've worked on and tuned both ID2000 , and 4 ID1000s(4 barrel) for primary setups on both gas and e85.

oh wow, these are much cheaper than i thought!

This may be a dumb questions but why run 550 primaries with 2000 secondaries? From most of the dyno builds ive read, the primary's would cap out around 300whp?

Most run 550 primaries because the PFC cannot properly control anything bigger in the primary spot( rich idle/low speed ). Also most people are not over the power limits of 550/2200cc combo, and some do not want the added cost of going to bigger primaries/rail etc..

I know this is slightly off topic but do you have any recommendations for a fuel pump that is:

1. Quiet
2. Reliable and Proven
3. In-Tank
4. Flows enough for 550 whp / ID 2000 plus 550 primaries

Thanks,

Andrew

Dual supra pumps. If it must be a single pump(which I would recommend) then you could do the Aeromotive Eliminator Pump( louder however).
